Jamésie is a territory equivalent to a regional county municipality (TE) of Nord-du-Québec, Canada. Its geographical code is 991 and together with Kativik TE and Eeyou Istchee TE it forms the administrative région and census division (CD) of Nord-du-Québec It is located to the east of James Bay, after which the territory is named. Saint-Sylvestre, Quebec
Saint-Sylvestre is a municipality in the Municipalité régionale de comté de Lotbinière in Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population is 989 as of 2009. It is named after Pope Sylvester I. The Saint-Sylvestre "Miracles" In 1948-1949, the Bélanger family of Saint-Sylvestre found fame in performing "healing miracles." Visitors from Canada and the United States came to be cured by one of the four Bélanger children, aged 8 to 12. The children allegedly acquired healing powers after having seen their deceased sisters dressed like angels and escorted by the Holy Virgin. Visitors would leave money to the children for their curing deeds, and they received the support of Reverend Emile Bourassa, from neighbouring Saint-Patrice-de-Beaurivage. The priest of Saint-Sylvestre, Reverend Edmond Pelletier, preached against these "miracles" and in 1949, Archbishop Maurice Roy, in the name of the Archdiocese of Quebec, ruled the affair as a hoax. Saint-Robert-Bellarmin is a municipality in the Municipalité régionale de comté du Granit in Estrie, Quebec, Canada, located on the Canada–United States border. Population is 529 as of 2021. It is also the location of the Saint-Robert-Bellarmin Wind Project, an 80 MW project located 3 km East-South-East of the town. The area had already been settled in 1907. The local economy revolves mostly around lumber, sugar bushes and the seasonal deer hunt. Many ''Bellarminois'' work in neighbouring Saint-Gédéon-de-Beauce. The municipality was named after Robert Bellarmine, an Italian Jesuit who participated actively in the Counter-Reformation. La Nouvelle-Beauce (''New Beauce'') is a regional county municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region in southeastern Quebec, Canada, south of the Saint Lawrence River. It is located south of Lévis, along the Chaudière River. Established in 1982 as a successor to Dorchester County, La Nouvelle-Beauce is made of 11 municipalities and is mainly French-speaking (99.2% French-speaking in 2006) and rural.
