Kankai River
The Kankai River ( ne, कन्काई नदी, also referred to as Kankai Mai or Mai Khola) is a trans-boundary river flowing through the hills of Ilam and the plains of the Jhapa District in Nepal. A holy river for many Hindus living nearby, the Kotihom river bank is a common site for death rituals. Kankai Irrigation Project, launched by the Nepalese government irrigates southern Jhapa, including Shivganj, Pachgachi and Mahavara. the Kankai River has several tourist hotspots along its course, such as in the areas of Domukha, Dhanuskoti, Chuli, Chepti and Maipokhari. The river overflows during monsoons and has potential to overflow onto the thousands of hectares of fertile plains of Jhapa. The Kotihom Surunga Municipality holds an annual Mai Mela fair on March 1, where many people from Jhapa, Morang, Ilam and various parts of India come to enjoy and perform religious activities. Hongu River
The Hongu River is a major river and valley in the Sankhuwasawa District. It is a tributary of the Hinku River, which subsequently flows into the Dudh Kosi. The Hongu Valley is at the back of the Everest region. It has views of the peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. The Hongu basin is a river valley which feeds a group of lakes. Gandaki River
The Gandaki River, also known as the Narayani and the Gandak, is one of the major rivers in Nepal and a left bank tributary of the Ganges in India. Its total catchment area amounts to , most of it in Nepal. In the Nepal Himalayas, it is notable for its deep canyon. Bisnumati River
The Bisnumati River (Nepal Bhasa:, ne , विष्णुमति नदी), flowing in the Kathmandu Valley, originates at Tokha on Shivapuri Mountain, north of Kathmandu. Lakhandei River
The Lakhandei River is a river in southern Nepal and in the state of Bihar in India. It is a main tributary of the Bagmati River. In Nepal, the river basin lies in the Sarlahi District, and the river originates in the Sivalik Hills. The river enters India in the Sitamarhi district of Bihar, and flows through the town of Sitamarhi. Kamala River
The Kamala River (Hindi and ne, कमला नदी kamalā nadī) originates from Nepal and flows through Indian state of Bihar. Course The Kamala originates from Churia Range near Maithan which is near Sindhuli Gadhi in Sindhuli District of Nepal at an elevation of . Melamchi River (Nepali: मेलम्चि खोला) is a tributary of the Indrawati River. It originates from the Jugal Himal at an elevation of about amsl. It joins with the Indrawati River at Melamchi Bazaar.
