Nickelodeon (Latin American TV Channel)
Nickelodeon is a Latin American pay television channel, counterpart of the American network of the same name. It is owned by Paramount Networks Americas and was launched on 20 November 1995. Aside from airing Nick and Nick Jr. content, it has produced original programming for the channel and has been sold to local distributors worldwide except for Cuba as cable television is banned in that country. History The channel was launched on 20 December 1996 in Latin America as a children-oriented channel, being the main competitor of Cartoon Network, which was launched three years before. In 1999, Nickelodeon launched its official website for the region, MundoNick.com. "Nick Radio" was also available, but eventually it was replaced by the Nick Jr. official site. On 13 February 2006, a programming block named Nick at Nite was launched. It consisted mostly of live-action shows from the 80s and 90s, and aired from 10 pm to 6 am. ''31 minutos'' (English: ''31 minutes'') is a Chilean comedy television series and a children's music virtual band created by the production company Aplaplac (owned by Álvaro Díaz, Pedro Peirano and Juan Manuel Egaña) that began to be transmitted on March 15, 2003 by the signal of Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN). The program is a parody to ''60 minutos'', a controversial news program of the same channel, transmitted in the 1970s and 1980s. It focuses on the adventures of the team of a news program of little prestige in which something unexpected always happens, whose presenter is Tulio Triviño. The program's notes are educational and leave an explicit or implicit message, while others are quite ridiculous. In its first period, the series had three seasons, from 2003 to 2005, in addition to a participation for the 2003 Chilean Telethon and a Christmas special that same year. Alvin And The Chipmunks (2015 TV Series)
''Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks'' is a computer-animated television series for kids produced by Bagdasarian Productions and Technicolor Animation Productions with the participation of the French channel M6. First announced by Bagdasarian Productions in 2010, it features Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Chipettes. This series marks their first television appearance together since 1990. A promotional trailer for the series was posted on YouTube. Animation and half of the show's storyboards are handled by Technicolor Productions in France, while Bagdasarian Productions in the U.S. is in charge of voice recording and music production. ''Allegra's Window'' is an American children's television series that aired on Nickelodeon through its Nick Jr. block from October 24, 1994, to December 8, 1996, with reruns being shown until February 5, 1999; it was later shown on Noggin from February 2, 1999, to April 6, 2003. The series deals with the daily life of a precocious, imaginative puppet character named Allegra, and featured live actors, puppets and animation similar to that of ''Sesame Street''. The show was created by Jan Fleming, John Hoffman and Jim Jinkins, the latter of whom is also the creator of ''Doug''. ''All Grown Up!'' is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. ''The Adventures of Pete & Pete'' is an American comedy television series created by Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi for Nickelodeon. It centers around two brothers, both named Pete Wrigley, and their humorous and surreal adventures in suburbia among their equally eccentric friends, enemies, and neighbors. ''The Adventures of Pete & Pete'' began on Nickelodeon in 1989 as minute-long shorts that aired as interstitials. Owing to the popularity of the shorts, five half-hour specials were made, followed by a regular half-hour series that ran for three seasons from 1993 to 1996.
