The Hallmark Channel is an American television channel owned by Crown Media Holdings, Inc., which in turn is owned by Hallmark Cards, Inc. The channel's programming is primarily targeted at families, and features a mix of television movies and miniseries (mainly in the romance genre), original and acquired television series, and lifestyle programs. As of February 2015, Hallmark Channel was available to approximately 85,439,000 pay television households (73.4% of households with television) in the United States. ''The Adventures of the Black Stallion'' is a drama television series that starred Mickey Rooney and Richard Ian Cox, as a trainer and a teenaged horse racer and was loosely based on the book series by Walter Farley. The series originally ran on The Family Channel and YTV from September 15, 1990, to May 16, 1993, before cancellation. It has since been shown in re-runs throughout the world. Mickey Rooney is the only original cast member from ''The Black Stallion'' to reprise his role in the show. In France, the show ran on M6 from April 20, 1991. Inspiration, Please! is an American game show that aired on the Odyssey Channel (now the Hallmark Channel) from October 1, 1995 until 1998. The show was created by Donald Epstein, who also served as the show's announcer. Robert G. Lee hosted. The show was produced by Trinity Productions at the Trinity TV Studios at Trinity Church (Manhattan), Trinity Church at the corner of Broadway (Manhattan), Broadway and Wall Street in New York City. GAC Family
Great American Family is an American cable television network. Owned by Great American Media, it broadcasts family-oriented general entertainment programming, including television series and made-for-TV movies. It was originally established in 1995 by Jones Radio Network as Great American Country (GAC), a country music channel. GAC was later acquired by Scripps Networks and, in turn, Discovery Inc. Under Scripps, GAC's format was widened to include lifestyle programming pertaining to the American Heartland and the South, but the network did continue carrying some country music-related programming for a period. ''Chesapeake Shores'' is a drama television series, based on the novel series of the same name by Sherryl Woods, produced by Chesapeake Shores Productions Inc in association with Borderline Distribution.
