Alastair Wilson
Alastair Wilson (born 19 December 1983, in Sheffield) is a British field hockey player, he has competed in the European championship, as well as in the World Championship and in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Wilson graduated from Nottingham Trent University in business studies, in 2007. He plays as forward in Field Hockey, and he first played for England in January 2005 on a tour of South Africa, and has since played for England 45 times and for Great Britain over 20 times, including three appearances in the EuroHockey Nations Championship, and a part in the 2006 World Cup as substitute for Ben Marsden. Alan Wilson (rugby League)
Alan Wilson (born 25 September 1967) is an Australian former rugby league footballer. The son of Australian Kangaroos player, Graham Wilson. Playing career Wilson was named Dally M rookie of the year in 1987. He played seven seasons for the Cronulla Sharks and is the 5th highest pointscorer for the club. After not being re-signed by the Sharks at the end of 1991, he moved to his brother Craig's club the North Sydney Bears. Alan won a Reserve Grade premiership with the Bears in 1992 before returned to Cronulla. Wilson could and did play every position. He also went on to represent NSW in State of Origin. Post playing Wilson recently returned to Australia after two years as Technical Advisor with Super League club St. Helens. Alan Thomas Lawrence Wilson (born 27 March 1955) is a British Anglican bishop. Since October 2003, he has been the area Bishop of Buckingham in the Diocese of Oxford. Alan J. Wilson (born 1947), is a British composer of church music. Professional career He was born in 1947, in Nottingham, UK, and won a scholarship to the Royal College of Music at the age of 17. He attended composition classes with Nadia Boulanger and studied on a scholarship at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam early keyboard music with Gustav Leonhardt. From 1974 to 1986 he was Director of Music at the Church of Christ the King, Bloomsbury, for whose choir he originally wrote many of his choral works. In 1976, he became Director of Music at Queen Mary College London; and in 1986, he became organist at the church of St. Mary-le-Bow. Alan Geoffrey Wilson (born 1 June 1942) is a former English cricketer. Wilson was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born in Kendal, Westmorland. Wilson made his debut for Cumberland in the 1963 Minor Counties Championship against Durham. He continued to represent Cumberland sporadically to 1984, playing 57 Minor Counties Championship matches. Toward the end of his career he played two MCCA Knockout Trophy matches against Northumberland in 1983 and Cheshire in 1984.
