This list of people in ''Playboy'' 1960–1969 is a catalog of women and men who appeared in ''Playboy'' magazine in the years 1960 through 1969. Not all of the people featured in the magazine are pictured in the nude. While every month included a centerfold, interviews and cover models did not become an almost-regular feature until autumn 1962. The interviews would occasionally be replaced by panel discussions such as the two-part "Panel on 1984 and Beyond" published in 1963. It was founded in Chicago in 1953, by Hugh Hefner and his associates, and funded in part by a $1,000 loan from Hefner's mother. Anita Ekberg
Kerstin Anita Marianne Ekberg (; 29 September 193111 January 2015) was a Swedish actress active in American and European films, known for her beauty and stunning figure. She became prominent in her iconic role as Sylvia in the Federico Fellini film ''La Dolce Vita'' (1960). Ekberg worked primarily in Italy, where she became a naturalization, permanent resident in 1964. June Cochran
June Cochran (February 20, 1943 – May 20, 2004) was an American model and beauty queen. Biography Cochran was born in East Tennessee and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana after her sophomore year in high school. She won the Miss Indiana USA pageant in 1960, but was unplaced at the national competition. She was also Miss Indiana World 1962, but unplaced at Miss USA World 1962. Avis Kimble
Avis Kimble (born October 18, 1944) is an American model. At age 17 she was photographed by Jon Pownall to become ''Playboy'' magazine's Playmate of the Month for its November 1962 issue. Avis was one of three finalists for that year's Playmate of the Year, and appeared on the cover of the January 1963 issue. June Cochran beat out Avis and Laura Young for the title. Kimble worked as a Bunny at the Chicago Playboy Club, and also ran a boutique in the Windy City at the same time.
