Regina () is the capital city of the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Allan Blakeney
Allan Emrys Blakeney (September 7, 1925April 16, 2011) was the tenth premier of Saskatchewan from 1971 to 1982, and leader of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party (NDP). Early life and career Born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Blakeney took his law degree at Dalhousie Law School, winning the gold medal. He was a Rhodes Scholar at Queen's College, Oxford, where he played for the Oxford University Ice Hockey Club. He earned a bachelor's degree, second class, in politics and economics. On returning to Canada, he passed the Nova Scotia bar exam in 1950. He then took a job with the Saskatchewan civil service, eventually becoming a senior civil servant in Saskatchewan, before he entered politics in 1960 and represented part of Regina. He would represent a Regina-based riding without interruption until his retirement in 1988. Blakeney served as a cabinet minister in the governments of Tommy Douglas and Woodrow S. Kale Clague (born June 5, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). Ruth Chambers (born 1960) is an installation artist based in Regina, Saskatchewan. She works with a wide range of media, and her art has incorporated everything from unfired clay, ceramics and found objects to the latest in audio-visual media. Biography Chambers was born in Toronto, Ontario and in 1983 she graduated from the Ontario College of Art as an Associate of the Ontario College of Art. From 1983 to 1984 she worked in the Ceramics Department of the Sun Valley Centre for the Arts and Humanities in Sun Valley, Idaho. She obtained her MFA from the University of Regina in 1994. Chambers' work has also explored a number of themes. Some of her sculptures have depicted elements of the human body, while other works by her have combined elements of classical design (such as Tuscan order columns) with natural imagery, such as fluttering oak leaves. William Darren "Jock" Callander (born April 23, 1961) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, and current front office executive, part-time assistant coach, and TV analyst for the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League. Career Callander, the younger brother of NHL player Drew, replaced a small NHL career with a historic one in the IHL. Garth Butcher (born January 8, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Butcher was a top prospect as a junior player and was a member of the first Canadian team to win gold at the world junior championship. Butcher played in the National Hockey League for 14 seasons, from 1981–82 to 1994–95, mostly with the Vancouver Canucks.
