Mississauga
Mississauga ( ), historically known as Toronto Township, is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is situated on the shores of Lake Ontario in the Regional Municipality of Peel, adjoining the western border of Toronto. With a population of 717,961 as of 2021, Mississauga is the seventh-most populous municipality in Canada, third-most in Ontario, and second-most in the Greater Toronto Area after Toronto itself. However, for the first time in its history, the city's population declined according to the 2021 census, from a 2016 population of 721,599 to 717,961, a 0.5 percent decrease. The growth of Mississauga was attributed to its proximity to Toronto. The ''Toronto Sun'' is an English-language tabloid newspaper published daily in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The newspaper is one of several ''Sun'' tabloids published by Postmedia Network. The newspaper's offices is located at Postmedia Place in downtown Toronto. The newspaper published its first edition in November 1971, after it had acquired the assets of the defunct ''Toronto Telegram'', and hired portions of the ''Telegram''s staff. Greg Anaka
Greg Anaka (died 20 April 1976) was from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and moved to Malton, Ontario in 1960. He was president of the Malton Memorial Recreation Association Incorporated (MMRAI) which was instrumental in getting the Malton Arena built in 1968. The arena was the home of the Malton Minor Hockey Association. He was a Director of the Mississauga Hockey League. He was the first president of the Association for Children with Learning Disabilities - Mississauga Chapter. Laeticia Amihere (born July 10, 2001) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Her father is from the West African country of Ghana, while her mother hails from Ivory Coast. She played college basketball at South Carolina Gamecocks of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Stella Ambler (born September 29, 1966) is a Canadian politician who served as the Member of Parliament for the federal electoral district of Mississauga South from 2011 to 2015. She is a member of the Conservative Party. Background Ambler's parents are Italian immigrants who met and married in Canada, settling in Etobicoke then moving to Brampton. Charles Allen (born March 3, 1977) is a Canadians, Canadian Track and field, track and field athlete, specializing in hurdling and Sprint (running), sprinting.
