Republik Maluku Selatan
South Maluku, also South Moluccas, officially the Republic of South Maluku, was an unrecognised secessionist republic that claimed the islands of Ambon, Buru, and Seram, which make up the Indonesian province of Maluku. Dutch conquest exerted colonial control across the archipelago in the 19th century, establishing a unitary administration. The borders of present-day Indonesia were formed through colonial expansion finalised in the 20th century. After the occupation by the Japanese Empire during World War II ended in 1945, nationalist leaders on Java unilaterally declared Indonesian independence. Early organised indigenous resistance came from the South Moluccas with support and aid from the Dutch government and military. The South Moluccan rebels initially clung on to an early post-colonial treaty prescribing a federal form of statehood. Nico Pelamonia
Nico Pelamonia (16 March 1940 – 15 May 2017) was an Indonesian actor turned film director who won the Citra Award for Best Director in 1976 for his film '' Semalam di Malaysia''. He has been involved in 33 feature film productions since his debut in Fred Young's ''Dibalik Awan'' in 1963. Biography Pelamonia was born in Ambon, Maluku, on 16 March 1940. His parents intended for him to become a priest, and after senior high school he sent to Java to prepare for it. In 1962, however, Pelamonia enrolled at the Indonesian National Theater Academy (, or ATNI). He had his first film role, a bit part in Fred Young's ''Dibalik Awan'' (''Behind the Clouds''), the following year. During his school years he acted in two films, D. Djajakusuma's ''Masa Topan dan Badai'' (''Time of Storms and Gales''; 1963) and Pitrajaya Burnama's ''Karma'' (1965). Jos Luhukay (born 13 June 1963) is a Dutch football manager and former player, who was most recently head coach of VVV-Venlo. Playing career He began his career at the age of 15 at his hometown club FC VVV and he made his league debut in January 1981 against FC Den Bosch. In 1989, he went to play at SVV Schiedam, where he stayed until 1991. Jan Jacobus "Sonny" Silooy (born 31 August 1963) is a Dutch former professional footballer and football manager. His last team as a manager was United Arab Emirates club Al Shabab under 19. His most successful time as a player was in his period with Ajax.
