Coat Of Arms Of Lima
The Coat of arms of Lima was granted by the Spanish Crown on December 7, 1537, by Royal Decree signed in Valladolid by Emperor Charles V and his mother Queen Joanna, endowing the city with the shield. In the ''Cédula'', preserved for a time in the Archives of the Cabildo, and later known by its transcription in another file of the city, the shield is described as follows: "A shield in blue field, with three crowns of gold of kings, placed in triangle, and on top of them, a gold star, which each of the three points of said star touches the three crowns, and by border some letters of gold that say: 'Hoc signum vere regum est', in red field, and by crest two black eagles of golden crown of kings, that look at each other, and embrace an I and a K, which are the first letters of our proper names, and on top of these said letters a golden star, according to here they are figured and painted." Alfredo Bryce Echenique (born February 19, 1939) is a Peruvian writer born in Lima. He has written numerous books and short stories. Early days Bryce was born to a Peruvian family of upper class, related to the Scottish-Peruvian businessman John Weddle Bryce (1817 in Edinburgh – 9 March 1888), ancestor of the Marquesses of Milford-Haven and of the Duchesses of Abercon and Westminster. He was the third son and the fourth of the five children of the banker Francisco Bryce Arróspide and his wife, Elena Echenique Basombrío, granddaughter of the former President José Rufino Echenique. Bryce studied elementary education at Inmaculado Corazón school, and high school at Santa María school and Saint Paul's College, a British boarding school for boys in Lima. Samuel Brejar born Gilberto Yabar-Valdez (Lima, Peru, July 28, 1941 – 2006) was a French poet born in Peru. Biography Samuel Brejar is the pseudonym of Gilberto Yabar-Valdez. Samuel Brejar was born in Lima, Peru, on July 28, 1941. He was the grandson of Orihuelo-Yabar, a well-known and wealthy landowner in the Andes of southern Peru. His origins from his father side were a mix of Spanish and Italian ancestry. From his mother side, Samuel Brejar was part Quechua (i.e., Native Americans of Peru). Martín Chambi Jiménez (November 5, 1891 – September 13, 1973) was a Peruvian photographer, originally from Puno, in southern Peru. He was one of the first major Indigenous Latin American photographers. Antonieta Zevallos De Prialé
Antonieta Zevallos de Prialé (1918/1919 – 8 August 2006) was a Peruvian politician who served in the Chamber of Deputies from 1980 until 1985, representing Lima as a member of the Peruvian Aprista Party. Her husband Ramiro Prialé was the leader of the Peruvian Aprista Party. Biography Antonieta Zevallos de Prialé was born in 1918 or 1919. In 1945, she met Ramiro Prialé, the leader of the Peruvian Aprista Party, and the couple married later that year. Zevallos served as a key advisor to her husband, and founded the women's wing of the party. In the 1980 Peruvian general election, Zevallos was elected to the Chamber of Deputies, representing Lima as a member of the Peruvian Aprista Party. She left office at the end of her term in 1985.
