Herménégilde Chiasson (born 7 April 1946) is a Canadian poet, playwright and visual artist of Acadian origin. Robert Young (November 11, 1834 – February 3, 1904) was a businessman and political figure in Canada who was significant in the economic and political development of the city of Caraquet and in the province of New Brunswick. Meredith Douglas Young, (born September 20, 1940 in Tracadie, New Brunswick) is a Canadian politician both provincial and federal spanning two decades. Provincial politics He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in 1978 as a Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). He was elected leader of the New Brunswick Liberal Party in 1982, but resigned within a year of his rising to that post due to a poor showing in the 1982 provincial election. Serge Rousselle is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in the 2014 provincial election. Rose-Marie Losier-Cool (born June 18, 1937) is a retired Canadian Senator for New Brunswick. Denis Losier (born June 14, 1952) is a businessman, economist and former public servant and politician. He was appointed to the Security Intelligence Review Committee on September 3, 2008 and by virtue of that position has been sworn in as a member of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada. Educated at the University of Moncton and the University of Western Ontario as an economist, Losier worked for the federal Ministry for Regional Industrial Expansion in the 1970s. Maisonnette, New Brunswick
Maisonnette is an unincorporated community in Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada. It held village status prior to 2023. The fishing village is located on the north shore of Caraquet Harbour near Pointe de Maisonnette, opposite the town of Caraquet on the Acadian Peninsula. History The village was first settled in 1832 as a temporary fishing port for people from Caraquet and Bertrand. Their small cabins (''maisonnettes'' in French) was the inspiration for the name of the village. Maisonnette is French for "little house". Formerly Ste. Jeanne D'Arc, the name was changed on October 1, 1936. Belledune, New Brunswick
Belledune (2011 population: 1,548) is a Canadian village that straddles both Restigouche County and Gloucester County, New Brunswick. The community of Belledune was created through the amalgamation of Jacquet River, Armstrong Brook, and Belledune in 1994. The community dubbed itself a "Supervillage" after this amalgamation.
