Mikhail Savitsky
Mikhail Savitsky ( be, Міхаіл Савіцкі) (February 18, 1922 – November 8, 2010) was a Belarusian painter. Born in 1922, he served on the Eastern Front in World War II from 1941, but was captured and not released until the end of the war. Some of the paintings Savitsky did were the 1967 ''Partisan Madonna'' and the picture cycle "Figures on the Heart." For his artwork, he was awarded the title Hero of Belarus in 2006. Biography Mikhail Savitsky was born on February 18, 1922, in the village Zvenyachi, Vitebsk region, Belarus. When Savitsky was nineteen years old, ‘The Great Patriotic War’ broke out in Belarus, which is also known to the rest of the world as World War II. The country was reunited and became a battlefield. Aleksandr Mikhailovich Adamovich ( be, Аляксандр Міхайлавіч Адамовіч, translit=Aliaksandr Michailavič Adamovič, russian: Алекса́ндр Миха́йлович Адамо́вич; 3 September 1927 – 26 January 1994) was a Soviet Belarusian writer, screenwriter, literary critic and democratic activist. He wrote in both the Russian and Belarusian languages. Having fought as a child soldier in the Belarusian resistance during World War II, much of Adamovich's work revolved around the German occupation of Byelorussia during World War II and the Belarusian partisan movement. Yuriy Alexeyevich Vashchuk (russian: Юрий Алексеевич Ващук, , be, Юрый Аляксеевіч Вашчук, ; born 24 January 1983), better known by his stage name Teo, is a Belarusian singer, songwriter, and television presenter. Teo showed passion for music early in his childhood. He won his first music competition as the winner of the international contest "Scilla", and won his first major competition as the winner of the television program "Zornaya Rostan". VAL is a Belarusian band comprising Valeria Gribusova and Vladislav Pashkevich. History In 2016, together with keyboardist and sound producer, Pashkevich, Gribusova founded a solo project called "VAL Music Project" which released the singles "Кто ты есть" (Who Are You) and "Ветер во сне" (Wind in a Dream) the same year.
