Bangka Park
The Bangka Park (also Mangka Park, Mengjia Park and Mengxia Park) () is a park in Wanhua District, Taipei, Taiwan. Name Mangka Park (from Taiwanese Hokkien) or Mengjia Park (from Mandarin) is a transliteration of the word ''moungar'', a Taiwanese aborigines word for canoe or gathering place for canoe. It is used to be known as Park No. 12. History In 1738, the Lungshan Temple of Manka was constructed. In 1923, the land area in front of the temple was forested and named Mengxia Park. In 1956, Taipei Mayor Kao Yu-shu () gave permission for street vendors to set up their stalls at the park. Since then, the park became the gathering place for the vendors and homeless people, which resulted a bad and dirty environment around the park. In 1992, Mayor Huang Ta-chou allocated a budget to rejuvenate the area. Rongxing Garden Park () (also called Rongxing Garden or Rongxing Park) is an urban park in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The park was built in 1990. It is managed by Yuanshan Park Management Division. Geology The park is the first European landscape garden in Taipei, which consists of flowers, wetlands, lotus ponds and children playground. Guandu Nature Park
Guandu Nature Park () is a park in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The wetland within the area was saved from being turned into a stadium in 1996 due to the protest from civic groups. After 10 years of planning, the nature park was established in 2001. On 1 December 2001, the Taipei City Government trusted the Wild Bird Society of Taipei to manage the park. On 2 February 2015, Legislative Yuan lawmakers toured the area after the successful passing of Wetlands Conservation Act to commemorate its achievement. Geology The park spans over an area of 57 hectares in a low-laying area of Taipei Basin at the junction of Keelung River and Tamsui River. It is divided into four areas, namely main area, core reserve area, outdoor observational area and sustainable management area. Fudekeng Environmental Restoration Park
Fudekeng Environmental Restoration Park () is a park in Wenshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The park houses the first photovoltaic power station in Taipei and the first one to be built at a former landfill site. History The park used to be a landfill with an area of 3 hectares. In 2003, after restoration work, it was transformed into a park. On 23 April 2011, the "Returning a Clean Formosa to Our Future Generations activities" was held at the park which was organized by China Airlines with Taipei City Government and Taiwan Himalayan Nature Civilization Conservation Society. The event was attended by President Ma Ying-jeou, Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-pin and Speaker Wang Jin-pyng. Dajia Riverside Park
The Dajia Riverside Park () is a park located in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. Located between Zhongshan Bridge and Dazhi Bridge in Zhongshan District, Dajia Riverside Park is a metropolis-type greening park developed and constructed by the government. With a large area, it is a large expanse of vast grassland that enters the park. People can also look out at the Miramar Ferris wheel. There is a large fountain with a diameter of 125 meters and central water column as high as 75 meters, and 80 sets of colorful underwater lights. It uses the visual changes of the water level to show its rhythmic characteristics. The fountain sprays water for half an hour at the hour. Daan Forest Park () is a public park near the centre of the Daan District, Taipei, Da'an District of Taipei, Taiwan. The park occupies twenty-six hectares and is bordered on its north, south, east, and west by Xinyi Road (信義路), Heping E. Road (和平東路), Jianguo Road (Taipei), Jianguo S. Road (建國南路), and Xinsheng S.
