The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh ( bn, গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকার — ) is the central executive government of Bangladesh. The government was constituted by the Constitution of Bangladesh and represented by the president, the prime minister and the cabinet of Bangladesh. The legislature represented by the Jatiya Sangsad, and the judiciary, represented by the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a unitary state and the central government has the authority to govern over the entirety of the nation. The seat of the government is located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The Anti Corruption Commission ( bn, দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশন) ''often abbreviated:'' ACC ( bn, দুদক) is the principal government agency against corruption in Bangladesh. History The Anti Corruption Commission was formed through an act promulgated on 23 February 2004 that came into force on 9 May 2004. Although initially, it could not make the desired impact, but immediately following its reconstitution in February 2007, the ACC began working with renewed vigor and impetus duly acceding to the United Nations' convention against corruption that was adopted by the General Assembly away back on 31 October 2003. Amanullah Mohammad Asaduzzaman (known as Asad; 10 June 1942 – 20 January 1969) was a student activist whose death at the hands of police during a protest on 20 January 1969 "changed the nature of the student-mass movement and ... turned into a mass-upsurge against the Ayub regime and its repressive measures", according to '' Banglapedia''. Asaduzzaman Khan
Asaduzzaman Khan (born 31 December 1950) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician. He became the Member of Parliament for Dhaka-12 in 2014, being re-elected in 2018. He currently serves as Minister of Home Affairs. Early life Khan was born on 31 December 1950 in Monipuripara, Dhaka, East Bengal, Pakistan. His home district is Dohar, Dhaka. In 1965, he completed his SSC from Tejgaon Polytechnic High school (Now Tejgaon Government High School) and in 1967, he completed his HSC from Jagannath College which is among the reputed colleges today. Career Khan was a member of the Mukti Bahini and fought in the Bangladesh Liberation war in 1971. He served in sector 2 under Captain Abdul Halim Chowdhury. Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury ( bn, নূর-ই-আলম চৌধুরী; born 1 June 1964), also known by his daak naam Liton, is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and Member of Parliament from Madaripur-1 and the Chief whip of Jatiya Sangsad. Early life Chowdhury was born on 1 June 1964 to a Bengali Muslim family of Chowdhuries in the village of Duttapara in Shibchar, Madaripur, then part of East Pakistan's Faridpur district. His parents, Ilias Ahmed Chowdhury and Sheikh Feroza Begum, are cousins of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. His father was a politician and came from a ''zamindar'' family whilst his mother, Sheikh Feroza Begum, was a housewife. Roushan Ershad (born 19 July 1943) is a Jatiya Party (Ershad), Bangladesh Jatiya Party politician. She is the current Jatiya Sangsad member from Mymensingh-4 constituency and the incumbent Leader of the Opposition (Bangladesh), Leader of the Opposition in the 2018 Bangladeshi general election, 11th parliament. She is the Chief Patron of the Jatiya Party (Ershad) and the widow of former Bangladesh president Hussain Muhammad Ershad. Political Career As the First Lady during 1982–1990, Ershad was active in social welfare and in promoting the rights of women and children. She was the chief patron of the Bangladesh Jatiya Mohila Sangstha. In 1975, Ershad became the founder-president of the Sena Paribar Kalliyan Samity (Armed Forces Family Welfare Association).
