IFPI Danmark is the Danish branch of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and is the official charts provider and recording sales certification body for Denmark. Certification Gold and platinum awards were first awarded in Denmark in the early 1990s. The sales requirements are the same for domestic and international repertoire. Inger Nilsson
Karin Inger Monica Nilsson (born 4 May 1959) is a Swedish actress and singer. She is a former child actress. She is primarily known for her portrayal of Pippi Longstocking in the Swedish-produced TV series of the same name during 1969 which was compiled, re-dubbed into German and later also in English and many other languages, and released as two feature films in 1969. In 1970, she reprised her role of Pippi in two subsequent feature films. As of 2005, she works as a secretary in Stockholm, occasionally taking small stage roles. Career Nilsson was eight years old when she was cast as Pippi Longstocking. First, she did a TV series and then four feature films. After Pippi Longstocking she trained as a medical secretary, but chose to pursue a career as an actress. Nilsson was, among other things, property master at Östgötateatern and acted in several plays. Bjørn Tidmand
Bjørn Tidmand (born 24 January 1940 in Copenhagen) is a Danish singer, best known for his participation in the 1964 Eurovision Song Contest. After being a member of the Copenhagen Boys Choir as a child, Tidmand began performing in local nightclubs and signed a recording contract in 1959, having a hit with a Danish-language version of "Only Sixteen". In 1963, Tidmand took part in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix to choose the country's Eurovision Song Contest entry, and finished in second place behind Grethe & Jørgen Ingmann, who went on to win that year's Eurovision for Denmark. "Up Around the Bend" is a song by American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, written by the band's frontman John Fogerty. The song was composed and recorded only a few days prior to the band's April 1970 European tour and was included on the album ''Cosmo's Factory''. Released as a single, with "Run Through the Jungle" on the flipside, the double-sided single climbed to number four on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in the spring of 1970. Creedence Clearwater Revival, also referred to as Creedence and CCR, was an American rock band formed in El Cerrito, California. The band initially consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty; his brother, rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty; bassist Stu Cook; and drummer Doug Clifford. These members had played together since 1959, first as the Blue Velvets and later as the Golliwogs, before settling on Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1967. "Jeg har set en rigtig negermand" ("I have seen a real negro man") is a Danish children's song that became extremely popular in the 1970s. It was first sung by four-year-old Bo Andersen with Familien Andersen in 1970, and quickly gained platinum status in Denmark, selling 165,000 copies.
