The National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (french: Syndicat national de l'édition phonographique; SNEP) is the inter-professional organisation that protects the interests of the French record industry. Originally known under the acronym SNICOP, the organisation was established in 1922 and has 48 member companies. SNEP's responsibilities include collecting and distributing royalty payments for broadcast and performance, preventing copyright infringement of its members' works (including music piracy), and sales certification of silver, gold, platinum and diamond records and videos. SNEP also compiles weekly official charts of France's top-selling music, including singles and albums. "Love Nwantiti" is a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter CKay, released in 2019 as the second track from his second extended play ''Ckay the First'' by Chocolate City through Warner Music Group. A remix of the song titled "Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)" featuring Nigerian singer Joeboy and Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene, released as a single in 2020, became a commercial success in Nigeria, Middle East, North Africa and in many European club venues, as well as the subject of collaborations with few local artists for localised variations. Sofiane Zermani (, ar, سفيان زرماني; born 21 July 1986) is a French rapper. He is also known as Fianso (; verlan of his first name). Born in Saint-Denis, Paris Region, he lived in the nearby Stains until age 13 when he moved to Le Blanc-Mesnil. In 2011, he released independently the album ''Blacklist'' followed by ''Blacklist II'' in 2013. In 2016, he launched a series of videos titled #JeSuisPasséChezSo inviting other less-known rappers to take part. In November 2016, he was signed to Capitol Records, an affiliate of Universal Music France. In January 2017, he released "Ma cité a craqué" featuring Bakyl. William Kalubi Mwamba (born 10 May 1992 in Kinshasa), better known by his stage name Damso (), is a Belgian- Congolese rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is popular in France, where all of his albums were certified at least platinum. Early life Kalubi was born in Kinshasa, Zaire (present-day Democratic Republic of the Congo). When he was nine years old, he and his family left the country because of the bloody armed conflict and moved to Belgium. 47Ter (pronounced ''Quarante-sept Terre'', ) is a French hip hop band from western Paris. The trio is composed of Pierre-Paul, Blaise and Lopes, all of whom come from Bailly. Before forming 47Ter, Pierre-Paul and Lopes were members of a rock group known as Fresh Octopus, now defunct. After posting their videos on YouTube between 2017 and 2018, including remakes of songs such as ''On vient gâcher tes classiques'', the trio released their debut EP (extended play) entitled ''Petits Princes'' in 2018. Djadja & Dinaz is a French hip hop duo from Meaux and made up of Gianni Bellou (Djadja) and Azzedine Hedhli (Dinaz). Biography The group received attention in December 2014 with the controversial video for their song "Laisse-nous faire notre biff" which shows a dozen young people shooting firearms in a parking lot. The two rappers (Djadja and Dinaz) and three of the extras were subsequently identified by the police, and four of them were sentenced to three months in prison. The group had further success in 2016 with the video for their song ''J'fais mes affaires'' accumulating 40 million views in February 2017. Paul Alain Leclerc (born 4 October 1947), known by his stage name Julien Clerc (), is a French singer-songwriter. Life Born in Paris, Clerc grew up listening to classical music in his father Paul Leclerc's home, while his mother Évelyne Merlot introduced him to the music of such singers as Georges Brassens and Edith Piaf. He began to learn the piano at six, and by 13, started to play by ear everything he heard on the radio. During his secondary school and university days, he met Maurice Vallet and Etienne Roda-Gil, two of his main songwriters, and began to compose his first songs. Bruno Nicolini (born 16 June 1969), better known by his stage name Bénabar, is a French songwriter and singer, who could be compared to Vincent Delerm and other singers from his generation. As many of them he was influenced by Georges Brassens, Renaud, Jacques Higelin and also Tom Waits. His songs describe day-to-day life events with humour and a tender cynicism. Yvick Letexier (; born 14 August 1993), better known as Mister V, is a French YouTuber, Internet personality, comedian, rapper, and actor.
