''Musica e dischi'' also compiled a weekly albums chart in 1995, but in March of the same year, the Federation of the Italian Music Industry started its own chart, which replaced ''Musica e dischis one as the official Italian albums chart. Compiled by Nielsen, the first FIMI albums chart included sales for the week starting on 23 February 1995. Antonio "Antonello" Venditti (born 8 March 1949) is an Italian singer-songwriter and pianist who became famous in the 1970s for the social themes of his songs. Biography Antonello Venditti was born in Rome, the son of Vincenzino Italo Venditti from Campolieto, in Molise, deputy-prefect in Rome, and Wanda Sicardi. He studied piano in his youth and made his debut in the music world in the early 1970s at the Folkstudio of Rome, together with singers like Francesco De Gregori and Giorgio Lo Cascio.
