Accamma Cherian
Akkamma Cherian was an Indian independence activist from Travancore (Kerala), India. She was popularly known as the Jhansi Rani of Travancore. Early life and education She was born on 14 February 1909 in a Roman Catholic family (Karippaparambil) at Kanjirapally, Travancore, as the second daughter of Thomman Cherian and Annamma Karippaparambil. She was educated at Government Girls High School, Kanjirapally and St. Joseph's High School, Changanacherry. She earned a BA in History from St. Teresa's College, Ernakulam. After completing her education in 1931, she worked as a teacher at St. Mary's English Medium School, edakkara), where she later became head mistress. Mammen Mathew (born 20 September 1944) is present Chief Editor and Managing Director of ''Malayala Manorama''. He is the eldest son of the late K. M. Mathew, who was the Chief Editor of ''Malayala Manorama'' until 1 August 2010. Mathew has more than 45 years of experience in the field of publication. Career Mathew completed a BA and MA in Medieval Indian History St. Stephen's College in Delhi, and then worked as trainee in editing in The Times of India. Victor J. Menezes (born 14 May 1949) is an Indian banker. Early life He was born in Pune, India on 14 May 1947, the son of Manuel Menezes, who was the chairman of the Indian Railway Board.
