Non-aligned Scouting And Scout-like Organisations
Non-aligned Scouting organizations is a term used by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and their member national organizations to refer to Scouting organizations that are not affiliated with them. See List of non-aligned Scouting organizations. Scout-like organisations are organizations that resemble Scouting in some way. Scout-like organizations have been created both prior to and after the origin of the Scout Movement and are characterized by use of or similarity to part of the Scout Method. The Scout Movement is a pluralist movement, not a single organization. Since it’s origins, the Scout Movement has been composed of many Scout organisations. However, WOSM and WAGGGS, to protect their founding organizations, register only one Scouting organization per country, although that organization can be a federation of several organizations. Belarusian Scout Association
The Belarusian Scout Association (ABS, be, Аб`яднанне Беларускiх Скаўтаў, transliterated ''Ab'yadnannye Belaruskikh Skaǔtaǔ'') is one of the nationwide Scouting organizations in Belarus. The National Scout Association of Eritrea is the national Scouting organization of Eritrea. Scouting in Eritrea shares a common history with that of Ethiopia, where Scouting was founded in 1950. The Central African Republic is one of 29 countries where Scouting exists (be it embryonic or widespread) but where there is no National Scout Organization which is a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement at the present time. Scouting was founded in French Equatorial Africa in 1941, and was first recognized in 1969.
