The Central African Republic (CAR; ; , RCA; , or , ) is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Chad to the north, Sudan to the northeast, South Sudan to the southeast, the DR Congo to the south, the Republic of the Congo to the southwest, and Cameroon to the west. The Central African Republic covers a land area of about . , it had an estimated population of around million. , the Central African Republic is the scene of a civil war, ongoing since 2012. Musée Barthélémy Boganda
The Boganda National Museum, also known as the Barthélémy Boganda National Ethnographic Museum, is a national museum of the Central African Republic. It is located in the Rue du Languedoc region of the capital, Bangui. Named after the country's first prime minister, it was founded in the 1960s and remained open until the Central African Republic Civil War. Despite looting, the majority of the artifacts remain at the museum in boxes. History Situated in the Rue du Languedoc region of Bangui, Central African Republic, the Boganda National Museum was founded in 1964 and opened in 1966. It was named after Barthélemy Boganda, the country's first prime minister.
