Debre Damo
Debre Damo (), also spelled Debre Dammo, Dabra Dāmmo or Däbrä Dammo), is the name of a flat-topped mountain, or amba, and a 6th-century monastery in Tigray Region of Ethiopia. The mountain is a steeply rising plateau of trapezoidal shape, about in dimension. It sits at an elevation of above sea level. It is north of Bizet, and north-west of Adigrat, in the Mehakelegnaw Zone of the Tigray Region, close to the border with Eritrea. The mountain hosted a monastery, accessible only by rope up a sheer cliff, high, is known for its collection of manuscripts and for having the earliest existing church building in Ethiopia that is still in its original style, and only men can visit it. Dangur Range
Dangur is one of the 20 Districts of Ethiopia, or ''woredas'', in the Benishangul-Gumuz Region of Ethiopia. It is named after the Dangur range of mountains, which extend southwest from the mountains along the west side of Lake Tana. The administrative center of this woreda is Manbuk. Part of the Metekel Zone, Dangur is bordered by Amhara Region in the northeast, by Pawe special woreda in the east, by Mandura in the southeast, by Bulen in the south, by Wenbera in the southwest, and by Guba in the west. Landmarks include the rock of Abu Ramlah in the westernmost part of the woreda, which was made into a fortified village by the local inhabitants, which was visited by Juan Maria Schuver June 1882. Mount Chilalo
Mount Chilalo is an isolated, extinct silicic volcanic mountain in southeastern Ethiopia. Its highest point (4036 m or 13,241 ft a.s.l.), in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region, is located in Arsi Mountains National Park on the border between the Hitosa and Tiyo woreda (). The mountain has an elliptical base (about 30 by 20 kilometers), whose major axis lies NNE-SSW or parallel to the predominant tectonic trend. Chilalo rises with gentle slopes for more than 1500 meters from the top of the plateau. At the summit, there is a large, almost circular caldera about 6 kilometers in diameter, whose southern rim is considered to be the mountain's summit. Mount Chilalo last erupted in the Pleistocene. One authority identifies Mount Chilalo as a late Trap Series volcano.
