Burbank Hills
The Burbank Hills are a small northwest-southeast mountain range in western Utah, United States that lie entirely within the Hamlin-Snake Watershed, between the Snake Range and the Ferguson Desert. It is bounded by Snake Valley to the north, west, and south; and trends into the Tunnel Springs Mountains, to the southeast, opposite the Antelope Valley on its southeast border. It was named after the settlement of Burbank, Utah, and Margie Burbank Clay, the wife of local Judge E. W. Clay in the 1870s. The Burbank Hills has numerous ATV trails and fossils. Fish Lake (Utah)
Fish Lake is a high alpine lake (elevation approximately ) located in the Fishlake/ Southern Wasatch Plateau region of south-central Utah, United States. It lies within and is the namesake of the Fishlake National Forest. Fish Lake, six miles long and one mile wide, lies in a geologic structure known as a graben valley. It is bounded by the Mytoge Mountains on the southeast shore which sharply rise about 1,000 feet (300 m) above the lake level. Along the northwest shore, the lake is bounded by Fish Lake Hightop Plateau (summit elevation 11,600 ft / 3,500 m). Fish Lake holds rainbow trout, splake, lake trout, kokanee salmon, brown trout, tiger trout and yellow perch. Yellow perch are regarded as an invasive species; there is no bag limit and anglers are encouraged to dispose of any yellow perch caught. East Tintic Mountains
The East Tintic Mountains are a mountain range in central Juab, Utah, and Tooele counties in Utah, United States on the east margin of the Great Basin just west of the Wasatch Front about south-southeast of Salt Lake City. The community of Eureka is an old mining town near the center of the range. U.S. Route 6 Passes through the central part of the range and through Eureka. The Tintic Mining District is located in the central part of the range. The district was an important producer of silver, gold and base metals during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The mountain range, Tintic Valley, and the mining district are named after Chief Tintic of the Goshute. The Tintic Smelter Site, the Sunbeam Mine, and the Silver City Cemetery, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, preserve some remnants of the district. The Drum Mountains or Detroit Mountains are a desert range in Juab and Millard counties of western Utah. They lie within the Basin and Range Province, which is a series of generally north-south trending mountain ranges and valleys (or basins) extending from central Utah to eastern California, and from southern Idaho into Sonora, Mexico. The Deep Creek Range, (often refereed to as the Deep Creek Mountains (Goshute: Pi'a-roi-ya-bi), are a mountain range in the Great Basin located in extreme western Tooele and Juab counties in Utah, United States. The range trends north-south (with a curl to the west at the southern end, 16% of range in White Pine County, Nevada), and is composed of granite in its central highest portion. The Cricket Mountains are a long mountain range located in central-south Millard County, Utah, United States, on the east border of Sevier Lake, in the Great Basin Desert. The southwestern Cricket Mountains merge southwest into the smaller San Francisco Mountains on the southern border of Sevier Lake and on the east of Wah Wah Valley. The Conger Range, also called the Conger Mountains, is a mountain range in Quttinirpaaq National Park on Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, Canada, beginning about west of Mount Osborne. It is part of the Arctic Cordillera which is a vast dissected mountain system extending from Ellesmere Island to the northernmost tip of Labrador and northeastern Quebec. Confusion Range
The Confusion Range is a north-south trending mountain range in west-central Utah, United States. It is bounded by Snake Valley to the west, Tule Valley to the east, the Great Salt Lake Desert to the north, and the Ferguson Desert to the south. The range trends into the Burbank Hills, Mountain Home Range, and the Wah Wah Mountains to the south.
