Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a type of sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, dedication and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups. Gymnastics evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks that included skills for mounting and dismounting a horse, and from circus performance skills. Arthur Zanetti
Arthur Nabarrete Zanetti (born April 16, 1990) is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. He won the gold medal in the rings exercise at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, becoming the first Brazilian and Latin American gymnast to win an Olympic medal in history. He also won the gold medal at the 2013 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp. Career Zanetti is a rings exercise specialist. He occasionally competes in floor and vault exercises. He originated one skill, which is named after him in the Code of Points since 2013. 2009 Zanetti competed in 2009 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in London. Paavo Aaltonen
Paavo Johannes Aaltonen (11 December 1919 – 9 September 1962) was a Finnish artistic gymnast and a three-time Olympic champion. Marco Torrès
Marco Torrès (22 January 1888 – 15 January 1963), born in Sidi Bel Abbès, French Algeria, was a French gymnast who competed in two Summer Olympic Games - the 1912 Summer Olympics, where he finished seventh in the individual all-around competition and in the 1920 Summer Olympics, where he placed 2nd in the all-around and helped his team to a bronze medal. He also had tremendous success at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships where he led his French team to victory in 1909 and where he became one of only 7 male gymnasts in history to become individual World All-Around Champion twice (1909 and 1913). Louis Ségura
Louis Ségura (July 23, 1889 – 1963) was a French gymnast who competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics and in the 1912 Summer Olympics. He won the bronze medal in the individual all-around in 1908 as well as the silver medal in 1912. Yang Wei (gymnast)
Yang Wei (; born February 8, 1980, in Xiantao, Hubei) is a male gymnast from China. Career Yang Wei won the silver medal in the individual all-around competition and won the gold in the team event at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. In 2003, he again won the gold in the team event and silver in the all-around competition at the 2003 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Anaheim. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, his world championship winning team finished fifth after many of them fell. Wei was also the favorite to win the gold medal at the Individual All-Around in Athens as well, but a fall from the high bar earned him a low score of 8.975 and put him out of medal contention. Li Xiaopeng (; July 27, 1981 in Changsha, Hunan) is a male Chinese gymnast, who specializes in parallel bars and vault. He currently holds 16 world titles, more than any other gymnast in China.
