Amadeus Austrian Music Awards
The Amadeus Austrian Music Awards is the annual awards ceremony for excellence in the Austrian music industry. It has been awarded to the most successful Austrian musicians since 2000, and has been held in the Volkstheater in Vienna each March since 2012. It is the Austrian equivalent to the Grammys. History The awards ceremony was founded by IFPI Austria in 2000, and was broadcast by the Austrian national broadcaster Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF). Andi Knoll hosted the show. In 2008, the broadcasters Puls 4 and ProSiebenSat.1 Media began hosting the ceremony together. Michael Ostrowski hosted the show from 2008 until 2010, and Manuel Rubey began hosting in 2012. British Inspiration Awards
The British Inspiration Awards (BIAs) are a set of industry awards celebrating achievement in the creative industries of the United Kingdom, organised by David Yarnton, the UK managing director for Nintendo. The inaugural awards took place at a ceremony in London on 23 April 2010. The awards, in the shape of a gold statue of Boudica, were presented in a number of categories including art, design, entertainment, fashion and science. All proceeds of the awards are to be donated to various charities. History With the UK in a recession in the late 2000s, and with a steadily declining manufacturing industry and little natural resources, the creative sector was believed to be the basis for future growth, and was as of 2010 was estimated to already contribute £110billion to the economy per annum, contribute two million jobs, and number over businesses classed as creative. Britannia Awards
The British Academy Britannia Awards are presented by BAFTA Los Angeles, a branch of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), as "a bridge between the Hollywood and British production and entertainment business communities." Established in 1989, it honours "individuals and companies who have dedicated their careers or corporate missions to advancing the art-forms of the moving image." From 1989 to 1998, only an honorary award was handed out to an individual during the presentation. ''Bravo'' is the largest teen magazine within the German-speaking Europe, German-language sphere. The first issue was published in 1956. History The founder of ''Bravo'' was columnist Peter Boenisch. The first issue was published on 26 August 1956 with thirty thousand copies printed, cost 50 Pfennig (equivalent to € in ). Marilyn Monroe's portrait graced the first published issue; the never-published dummy issue cover displayed Elvis Presley. The publication was initially subtitled as "the magazine for film and television" (). Issue number 13/57 was released on 31 March 1957 with the new subtitle "the magazine with the young heart" () as well as "film, television, pop music" () which disappeared soon afterwards. The Bravo Otto is a German accolade honoring excellence of performers in film, television and music. Established in 1957, the award is presented annually, with winners selected by the readers of ''Bravo'' magazine. The ''Billboard'' Live Music Awards (previously known as the ''Billboard'' Touring Conference and Awards until 2018) is an annual meeting sponsored by ''Billboard'' magazine that honors the top international live entertainment industry artists and professionals. The Casting Society, formerly known as Casting Society of America (CSA), was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1982 as a Professional association, professional society of about 1,200 Casting (performing arts), casting directors and associate casting directors for film, television, theatre, and commercials in Canada, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa, and the United States. The nonprofit organization announced the name change from Casting Society of America to Casting Society on February 10, 2022. The society is not to be confused with an Trade union, industry union. The Artios Award for Outstanding Achievement in Casting – Big Budget Feature (Drama) is an award handed out annually by the Casting Society of America. The award, in its current incarnation, was first awarded in 2009, when the category made the distinction of award comedic films with larger budgets, and studio backing. Previously, since the second awards ceremony in 1986, the category had only held the distinction of Outstanding Achievement in Feature Film Casting – Drama. The award honors the casting directors of higher-budgeted, in comparison to independently-backed, films that the voting body believes featured the best casting.
