Konstantinos Zervas
Konstantinos Zervas ( el, Κωνσταντίνος Ζέρβας; born 1964) is the 61st and current mayor of Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in Greece. Konstantinos Zervas was born in Thessaloniki in 1964. He is the son of Vasilis Zervas—a civil engineer—and Lilika Zerva-Ologa—a philologist. He has two older sisters. Zervas attended the German School of Thessaloniki and the Experimental School of Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and received a Masters of Science from Brown University in 1989. From 1994 to 1997 he was a member of the board of directors of PAOK. He was a member of the board of directors of Attiko Metro SA between 2010 and 2016. Theodoros Pangalos (general)
Lieutenant General Theodoros Pangalos (; 11 January 1878 – 26 February 1952) was a Greek general, politician and dictator. A distinguished staff officer and an ardent Venizelist and anti-royalist, Pangalos played a leading role in the September 1922 revolt that deposed King Constantine I and in the establishment of the Second Hellenic Republic. In June 1925 Pangalos staged a bloodless coup, and his assumption of power was recognized by the National Assembly which named him Prime Minister. As a " constitutional dictator" he ruled the country until his overthrow in August 1926. From April 1926 until his deposition, he also occupied the office of President of the Republic. Pangalos withdrew from public life for a while, but remained active in the Venizelist military circles. The ''hulusi'' (traditional: 葫蘆絲; simplified: 葫 芦 丝; pinyin: húlúsī), also known as the cucurbit flute and the gourd flute is a free reed wind instrument from China, Vietnam and the Shan State and by the indigenous people of Assam. It is held vertically and has three bamboo pipes that pass through a Calabash gourd wind chest; the center pipe has finger holes and the outer two are typically drone pipes. It is not uncommon for a ''hulusi'' to have only one drone pipe while the second outer pipe is merely ornamental. The drone pipe has a finger hole which allows it to be stopped. Advanced configurations have keyed finger holes similar to a clarinet or oboe, which can greatly extend the range of the ''hulusi'' to several octaves.
