Four Corners (Australian TV Program)
''Four Corners'' is an Australian investigative journalism/ current affairs documentary television program. Broadcast on ABC TV, it premiered on 19 August 1961 and is the longest-running Australian television program in history. The program is one of only five in Australia inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame. History ''Four Corners'' is based on the concept of British current affairs program ''Panorama''. The program addresses a single issue in depth each week, showing either a locally produced program or a relevant documentary from overseas. The program has won many awards for investigative journalism. Including 23 Logie Awards and 62 Walkley Awards. It has broken high-profile stories. Neighbours
''Neighbours'' is an Australian television soap opera, which has aired since 18 March 1985. It was created by television executive Reg Watson. The Seven Network commissioned the show following the success of Watson's earlier soap '' Sons and Daughters.'' Although successful in Melbourne, ''Neighbours'' underperformed in the Sydney market and was cancelled by Seven four months after it began airing. It was immediately commissioned by rival Network Ten for a second production season, which began screening on 20 January 1986. ''Neighbours'' went on to become the longest-running drama series in Australian television history. In 2005, it was inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame. The Sunday Footy Show (rugby League)
''The Sunday Footy Show'' is an Australian sports variety television program covering professional rugby league in Australia. The show is currently hosted by Danika Mason. Also featuring on the show are former rugby league players and current commentators Brad Fittler along with former Jillaroos player Allana Ferguson. History and synopsis The show has aired on Sundays since 1993, currently airing from 11am to 1pm. Each episode covers rugby league-related content including previews of the weekend's fixtures and interviews with players. In New South Wales and in Queensland, it airs on Channel Nine, whilst in all other AFL dominated states it is shown on delay on GEM. ''The AFL Sunday Footy Show'' is an Australian rules football program aired on the Nine Network on Sunday mornings at 10am to 12pm hosted by Tony Jones with a panel consisting of Damian Barrett, Nathan Brown, Matthew Lloyd and Kane Cornes. History and synopsis ''The Sunday Footy Show'' was the original incarnation of the ''Footy Show'' and was based on the footy show for rugby league which had debuted earlier in 1992. Following its success in 1993, it was decided to present a special Grand Final edition with a live studio audience. The success of this special meant that the Thursday night show was to be installed as a permanent fixture in the Nine schedule. Home And Away
''Home and Away'' (often abbreviated as ''H&A'') is an Australian television soap opera. It was created by Alan Bateman and commenced broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. Bateman came up with the concept of the show during a trip to Kangaroo Point, New South Wales, where he noticed locals were complaining about the construction of a foster home and against the idea of foster children from the city living in the area. The soap opera was initially going to be called ''Refuge'', but the name was changed to the "friendlier" title of ''Home and Away'' once production began. The show premiered with a ninety-minute pilot episode (subsequently in re-runs and on VHS known as ''Home and Away: The Movie''). Since then, each subsequent episode has aired for a duration of twenty-two minutes.
