A lake is an area filled with water, localized in a basin, surrounded by land, and distinct from any river or other outlet that serves to feed or drain the lake. Lake Serre-Ponçon (french: Lac de Serre-Ponçon, ; Vivaro-Alpine: ''Lac de Sèrra Ponçon'') is a reservoir in the departments of Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, in southeast France, one of the largest in Western Europe.
