International broadcasting, in a limited extent, began during World War I, when German and British stations broadcast press communiqués using Morse code. With the severing of Germany's undersea cables, the wireless telegraph station in Nauen was the country's sole means of long-distance communication. The US Navy Radio Service radio station in New Brunswick, Canada, transmitted the 'Fourteen Points' by wireless to Nauen in 1917. In turn, Nauen station broadcast the news of the abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm II on November 10, 1918. Israel Radio International or Reka ( he, רשת קליטת עלייה ', or ') is the radio service of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC) for immigrants and listeners abroad. Overview Operating since 1950, the shortwave transmissions of ''Kol Israel'' ("Voice of Israel") on ''Reshet Hey'' ("Network E") broadcasts to the entire world. They are also the main link between Israel and the Jewish diaspora. Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (; en, "Albanian Radio and Television"; mostly called RTSH ) is an Albanian public broadcasting radio and television company. Founded in 1938, it operates several radio and television channels, over a domestic transmitter network as well as satellite. The international television service via satellite RTSH Sat (former ''TVSH Sat'') was launched in 1993 and is aimed at Albanian-speaking communities in Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and northern Greece, plus the Albanian diaspora in the rest of Europe. RTSH is funded by a combination of commercial advertising, an annual licence fee of US$10.00 and grant-in-aid from the Albanian government. DZRP - Radyo Pilipinas Worldwide (also known as Voice of the Philippines and RP3, then known as Radyo Pagasa) is a short-wave radio station broadcasting outside the Philippines. Voice of Korea () is the international broadcasting service of North Korea. It broadcasts primarily information in Chinese, Spanish, German, English, French, Russian, Japanese and Arabic. Until 2002 it was known as Radio Pyongyang. The interval signal is identical to that of Korean Central Television.
