Gran Hotel Montesol Ibiza is a historic hotel in Ibiza Town, Ibiza. It is officially listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural by the Spanish Ministry of Culture. It is characterised by its white and yellow color. The hotel, established in 1933, is the first ever hotel established on Ibiza. During the Spanish Civil War in 1936 and until the end of World War II in 1945, it was used by the army. The establishment closed for renovations at the end of 2014. The W Barcelona Hotel, popularly known as the ''Hotel Vela'' (''Sail Hotel'') due to its shape, is a building designed by Ricardo Bofill located in the Barceloneta district of Barcelona, in the expansion of the Port of Barcelona. Hotel Arts
The Hotel Arts is a 44-storey, 483 room luxury hotel on the seafront of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is operated by Ritz-Carlton. History Contrary to popular belief, it was not built to service the 1992 Summer Olympics, though its construction was part of the big changes undergone by the city to prepare the Games. The hotel opened as a 10-story building in 1992, then closed down to finish the construction project. The construction was finished in 1994 and it is an example of high-tech architecture. It is 154 metres tall and was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill with Colombian-Peruvian architect Bruce Graham as partner in charge.
