New York State Route 189 (NY 189) is a north–south state highway located near the northern border of New York in the United States. It extends for through the Clinton County town of Clinton from a junction with U.S. Route 11 (US 11) to the Canada–US border, where it continues into Quebec as Route 209. In between, the two-lane NY 189 serves the small hamlet of Churubusco. Outside of Churubusco, the highway passes through rural, undeveloped areas. NY 189 was assigned to its current alignment as part of the 1930 renumbering of state highways in New York and has remained untouched since. NM 189's western terminus is near Vado at the road's junction with NM 478, and the eastern terminus is at the road's junction with NM 28 within La Mesa community. Route description The highway begins at the junction with NM 28 in La Mesa. The road heads east through pecan orchards and fields of Mesilla Valley for before turning northeast. It serves as the continuation of Highway 139 (WIS 139) from Wisconsin into Michigan, connecting to US Highway 2 (US 2) in Iron River. Maryland Route 189 (MD 189) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known as Falls Road, the highway runs from MD 190 in Potomac to Great Falls Road and Maryland Avenue in Rockville.
