This is a summary of the highest scoring matches and biggest winning margins in the Premier League since its establishment in the 1992–93 season. The record score for the biggest win is 9–0, which has happened on four occasions. The first was Manchester United beating Ipswich Town at Old Trafford on 4 March 1995, the second being Leicester City beating Southampton F.C. at St Mary's Stadium on 25 October 2019 (which stands as not only a joint Premier League record, but also an all-time record ''away'' win in the English football's top tier), the third being Manchester United beating Southampton on 2 February 2021, also at Old Trafford. The most recent occasion was Liverpool beating Bournemouth on 27 August 2022 at Anfield. Fratton Park
Fratton Park is a football ground in Portsmouth, England, which is the home of Portsmouth F.C. Fratton Park remains as the only home football ground in Portsmouth FC's entire history. The early Fratton Park was designed by local architect Arthur Cogswell and built in 1899 on the site of a market garden in Milton, a Portsea Island farming village. In 1904, Milton and the rest of Portsea Island became part of Portsmouth. Fratton Park's Portsea Island location means it is uniquely the only football ground in English professional football which is not on the mainland of Great Britain. Steed Claude Malbranque (born 6 January 1980) is a French former professional footballer. Malbranque started his professional career with Olympique Lyonnais, before moving to England in 2001, where he had spells with Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland. Dimitar Ivanov Berbatov ( bg, Димитър Иванов Бербатов; born 30 January 1981) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer. David Barry Kitson (born 21 January 1980) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward. He made 420 appearances in the Premier League and Football League, including 135 for Reading. A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines. Suleyman Ali "Sulley" Muntari (born 27 August 1984) is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He spent most of his career in Italy, playing for clubs such as Udinese, Internazionale, and Milan. An own goal, also called a self goal, is where a player performs actions that result in them or their team scoring a goal on themselves, often resulting in a point for the opposing team, such as when a football player kicks a ball into their own net or goal, awarding the other team a point.
