West De Pere High School
West De Pere High School is one of two public high schools in De Pere, Wisconsin, USA. Built in 1960, it serves students in the 9th to the 12th grade. The school's mascot is the Phantom. The Phantoms compete in the Bay Conference. History In 2018, a referendum passed to add a second-story addition to the high school. The referendum has been somewhat controversial because of the needed increase in taxes to pay for the expansion. Pulaski High School is a public high school in Pulaski, Wisconsin, United States, in Brown County (school district also serves parts of Shawano, Outagamie and Oconto counties), that serves students in grades 9 through 12. Its mascot is the Red Raider. History The original school was built in 1909, with additions throughout the next five decades. In 1975, the high school took over an existing school along with other additions, most notably an indoor swimming pool. Another new building was built in 1998 due to a rapidly growing population. Preble High School is a public high school in the Green Bay, Wisconsin School District. The school serves students from Green Bay, Bellevue, and New Franken. The name comes from the former town of Preble, which is now part of northeastern Green Bay, and New Franken, Wisconsin. History Preble High School opened in 1955, with a campus of both junior (7th-9th grade) and senior (10th-12th grade) high schools housed in separate buildings. The junior high was phased out with the opening of Edison Junior High (now Edison Middle) School in 1970. In 1986, Green Bay Public Schools changed to a format of middle (6th-8th grade) and high (9th-12th grade) schools. Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran High School (abbreviated NEWLHS) is a Lutheran high school in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This school is part of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. NEW Lutheran has an enrollment of approximately 130 students. The school's history dates back to as early as 1975 when two parties had interest in starting a Lutheran High School within Green Bay. A survey was done within the LCMS churches in Brown County that showed great interest for a school. A meeting was held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church to form a committee that helped establish the school. In 1977, the schools inaugural year included 34 students. Throughout the next two decades, the school had changed its location three times before a building was officially constructed at the cul-de-sac on 1311 South Robinson Avenue in 1993. Green Bay West High School is a high school in Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States, serving the city's west side. Originally founded in 1890 as the high school for the town of Fort Howard (annexed into Green Bay in 1895), the school opened as West High School in 1910 and has occupied its current building since 1929. History The institution that would become West High School opened in 1890 as the McCartney School, in what then was the neighboring town of Fort Howard. With the annexation of Fort Howard into Green Bay in 1895, the two school districts merged, though the McCartney School (known as Old West High) would continue to operate until 1910, when West High School formally opened. Green Bay Southwest High School is one of four public high schools located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Southwest High School is located at 1331 Packerland Drive. Its school colors are royal blue and silver, and their mascot is the Trojan. Academics Nearly half of Southwest's class of 2011 attended accredited four-year colleges (49%). The school offered 14 Advanced Placement courses in 2007, with 220 AP tests taken in May 2007. Overall, 31% of students participated in AP Exams in 2016. Green Bay East High School is a public high school in the Green Bay Area Public School District serving the near-east side of Green Bay, Wisconsin and parts of Bellevue and Allouez. Founded in 1856, the school has occupied its current building since 1924. History The institution that would become East High School began in 1856 with the construction of Green Bay's Sale School (nicknamed "Old Brick") on land donated to the city by fur trader John Jacob Astor. Sale was the first school built by the Green Bay Area Public School District. The school traces its formal beginnings (celebrating a sesquicentennial in 2011) to a Professor Furber, who added Latin and mathematics to the grade school curriculum in 1860.
