Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. Courses typically have either 18 or 9 ''holes'', regions of terrain that each contain a ''cup'', the hole that receives the ball. Clément Sordet
Clément Sordet (born 22 October 1992) is a French professional golfer. Sordet played college golf at Texas Tech where he won six times. After graduating in 2015 and playing in the Palmer Cup, Sordet turned professional. He began playing on the Challenge Tour. In August 2015, he won his first tournament as a professional, at the Northern Ireland Open, playing on a national invitation. It was only his fourth event as a professional. Sordet finished 2015 by finishing joint runner-up in the Thailand Golf Championship. This was one of the Open Qualifying Series and gained him entry to the 2016 Open Championship. Sordet won his second professional tournament on the Challenge Tour in 2016 at the Turkish Airlines Challenge. Then in 2017, he won both the Viking Challenge and NBO Golf Classic Grand Final and finished second on the 2017 Challenge Tour Order of Merit, which earned him full-time status on the European Tour for 2018. Alexander Knappe (born 1 March 1989) is a German professional golfer. Knappe was born in Brilon, Germany. He played one year of college golf at Texas Christian University. Michael Hoey (golfer)
Michael George Wilfred Hoey (born 13 February 1979) is a retired Northern Irish professional golfer who played on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. Amateur career Hoey was born in Ballymoney but played much of his early golf at Shandon Park Golf Club in East Belfast. He won the British Amateur Championship in 2001 and was a member of the victorious 2001 Great Britain & Ireland Walker Cup team. As British Amateur Champion, he was invited to play in the Masters Tournament in 2002, where he missed the cut by a single stroke. He turned professional later that year. Peter Mikael Hedblom (born 20 January 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer. Early years Hedblom was born in Gävle, Sweden. When he was just a few years old, he followed his father Olle, a former bandy player, who later became a golf club professional, to the golf course at Gävle Golf Club. Peter became a member at seven and early showed great talent, but was actively involved in ice hockey before that. His younger sister Marlene did not start her golfing career until the age of 12, but also later became a tournament professional. Niclas Fasth
Niclas Fasth (born 29 April 1972) is a Sweden, Swedish professional golfer. Early life Fasth was born in Gothenburg. In 1982, when he was 10 years old, his parents bought a summer house close to Lysegården Golf Club in Kungälv, north of Gothenburg. His family, with father Kristher, mother Inga-Lill and younger sister Jessica, used to spend their summers there and began playing golf. With a lot of friends also playing the game, young Fasth was always at the golf course, practiced a lot and showed early talent. Beside golf, Fasth practiced other sports and during winter time also showed talent in ice hockey. Ignacio "Nacho" Elvira Mijares (born 17 February 1987) is a Spanish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Elvira played college golf at Texas A&M University where he won one event and was a two-time All-American. Professional career Elvira played on the Challenge Tour in 2012 and 2013, finishing 104th and then 14th. He won his first title in 2013 at The Foshan Open in China, and finished 14th in the Order of Merit to gain a place on the 2014 European Tour. Rhys Davies (born 28 May 1985) is a Welsh professional golfer. Davies was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, but has lived in Wales for the majority of his life. He played collegiate golf in the United States at East Tennessee State University where he won ten times and was a first team All-American in 2005, 2006, and 2007. He played on two Walker Cup teams (2005 and 2007), and for Europe in four Palmer Cup teams (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). Alexander Čejka (born 2 December 1970) is a Czech-German professional golfer. Čejka was born in Mariánské Lázně, Czechoslovakia. He left the country with his parents as a refugee at the age of nine, eventually settling in Munich, where he lived for many years, becoming a West German citizen. Čejka lives in Las Vegas and also has a home in Prague. Professional career Čejka turned professional in 1989 and played on the European Tour from 1992 to 2002.
