Anthropomorphism
Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities. It is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology. Personification is the related attribution of human form and characteristics to abstract concepts such as nations, emotions, and natural forces, such as seasons and weather. Both have ancient roots as storytelling and artistic devices, and most cultures have traditional fables with anthropomorphized animals as characters. People have also routinely attributed human emotions and behavioral traits to wild as well as domesticated animals. ''Bugs in Love'' is a ''Silly Symphonies'' animated Disney short film. It was released in 1932, and was the final Symphony to be shot with black-and-white film. Plot A carnival is made by insects out of garbage. The carnival includes a Ferris wheel made out of a bike tire and pedals, a "slide" made out of a pipe, and a record player "merry-go-round". Two love bugs are skating on a broken mirror when the female bug leaves to her house to freshen up. The male bug follows her. While the two are courting, a crow flies by and spots the two bugs. Licking his lips, he sneaks closer to them. He starts chasing after the two bugs. The crow scares the male bug into a glass bottle and puts a cork on the bottle. The female bug runs into her home. Caterpillars
Caterpillars ( ) are the larval stage of members of the order Lepidoptera (the insect order comprising butterflies and moths). As with most common names, the application of the word is arbitrary, since the larvae of sawflies (suborder Symphyta) are commonly called caterpillars as well. Both lepidopteran and symphytan larvae have eruciform body shapes. Caterpillars of most species eat plant material ( often leaves), but not all; some (about 1%) eat insects, and some are even cannibalistic. Some feed on other animal products. For example, clothes moths feed on wool, and horn moths feed on the hooves and horns of dead ungulates. The songs from this single were included in the soundtrack of the Spanish-Mexican animated film of 1984 produced by Fabian Arnaud and directed by José Luis Moro and Santiago Moro and is based from an original story by Silvia Roche. ''An Itch in Time'' is a 1943 Warner Bros. ''Merrie Melodies'' cartoon, directed by Bob Clampett. The short was released on December 4, 1943 and features Elmer Fudd, with a dog and cat that look similar to Willoughby and Claude Cat. The voice of A. Flea is uncredited and was provided by Sara Berner, except for the character screaming "T-Bone!" which was done by Mel Blanc. Blanc also performs the voice of the dog and the cat. As usual, Arthur Q. Bryan is the voice of Elmer. A. ''The Grasshopper and the Ants'' is a 1934 American animated short film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by United Artists. Part of the ''Silly Symphonies'' series, the film is an adaptation of ''The Ant and the Grasshopper'', one of Aesop's Fables. It was directed by Wilfred Jackson and stars Pinto Colvig as the voice of the grasshopper "Hop." Flea
Flea, the common name for the order Siphonaptera, includes 2,500 species of small flightless insects that live as external parasites of mammals and birds. Fleas live by ingesting the blood of their hosts.
