Cornish Cyder Farm
Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm is a small independent family-run business in Penhallow near Truro, Cornwall, England, UK. It produces and sells its own cider, brandy, whisky, gin, eau de vie, country fruit wines and apple juice. Ciders include Cornish Rattler Cyder and Pear Rattler, which is made by adding pear juice to the original Cornish Rattler. In addition, the farm produces traditional scrumpy cider, reserve and classic cider, with the latter made in second hand oak whisky barrels. The farm also produces jams, marmalades, sauces, chutneys, pickle and mustard. History of Healeys Healey's was opened to the general public in 1986 by David and Kay Healey, after they had been running an off-licence in Mevagissey. Hendraburnick ( kw, Hendra Bronnik, meaning ''rushy home farm'') is a farmstead near Davidstow, Cornwall, England. On Hendraburnick Down is the source of the River Camel. In the medieval period, Hendraburnick was a manor held under Launceston Castle. Feet of fines records that in 1383 some land in the settlement of Hendraburnick was held by a Roger Knyght, reverting on his death to a John Lordman of Treleigh. A 17th century farmhouse there is a grade II listed building. Hendraburnick Quoit to the north east is a Late Neolithic dolmen, regarded as "the most decorated or deliberately marked stone in southern Britain". Froxton
Whitstone is a village and civil parish in east Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is roughly halfway between the towns of Bude and Launceston. The population at the 2011 census was 590. History The earliest mention of the village is in the Domesday Book of 1086, when Whitstone was called 'Witestan', and was held by Ralph from the Count of Mortain. There was 1 furlong of land and half a plough, 1 serf, 12 acres of woodland, 8 cattle, 8 pigs, 40 sheep and 40 goats. The value of the manor was 15 shillings though it had formerly been worth £1 sterling. In the 19th century, the parish was called Whitstone. The Duchy Home Farm is an organic farm operated by the Duchy of Cornwall. The farm is part of the gardens of Highgrove House, the country home of King Charles III.
