Exorcist
In some religions, an exorcist (from the Greek „ἐξορκιστής“) is a person who is believed to be able to cast out the devil or performs the ridding of demons or other supernatural beings who are alleged to have possessed a person, or (sometimes) a building or even an object. An exorcist can be a specially prepared or instructed person including: priest, a nun, a monk, a witch doctor (healer), a shaman, a psychic or a geomancer ( Feng shui - Chinese geomancy). Brian Connor (pastor)
Brian N. Connor (May 23, 1946November 8, 2014) was an American pastor and exorcist who also taught people about spiritual warfare. Background Connor was born May 23, 1946, in Charleston, South Carolina, to his parents George Connor and Mary Connor. Connor graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and held a doctor of ministry degree. Ministry In 1985 the ministry of exorcism was first introduced to him when he encountered a woman who was a third generation satanist. From then on he ministered to people with spiritual oppression. Johann Blumhardt
Johann Christoph Blumhardt (16 July 1805 – 25 February 1880) was a German Lutheran theologian, best known for his contribution in thought towards a kingdom-now or kingdom-come theology and his motto and centralization of Christianity around the idea that "Jesus is Victor." Blumhardt was born in Stuttgart, in the Electorate of Württemberg. He was the father of Christoph Blumhardt. Jesus is Victor The phrase "Jesus is Victor" (aside from its Latin origin, Christus Victor) originated from his claims to have exorcised in 1842 the girl Gottliebin Dittus in Möttlingen. Bill Subritzky
Wilfred Allen Subritzky (20 November 1925 – 23 December 2015) was a New Zealand lawyer and property developer, active from the mid-1950s until the mid-1980s. His company, Universal Homes, mass-produced houses in standard designs, and sold 14,000 houses over the 30-year period of Subritzky's involvement. Biography Subritzky was born in 1925, and lived in Auckland. In 1971 he became involved in the charismatic movement, and became an independent evangelist and healer. Subritzky's faith healing ministry, Dove Ministries, distributes pamphlets, books and videos of his teaching and his evangelistic healing meetings. He was a charismatic Anglican but the style of his ministry was more similar to Pentecostals such as the late Derek Prince. Christopher Neil-Smith
Christopher Neil-Smith (1920–1995) was an Anglican priest who was vicar of St Saviour's Hampstead and is best known for his practice of exorcism and his parapsychological interests. Neil-Smith is credited with performing more than 3,000 exorcisms in Britain, starting in 1949. In 1972, the Bishop of London authorized him to exorcise demons according to his own judgement. Neil-Smith wrote ''Praying for Daylight: God Through Modern Eyes'', as well as ''The Exorcist and the Possessed'', in which he detailed his experiences with and beliefs about exorcism. Avvakum Petrov (russian: link=no, Аввакум Петров; 20 November 1620/21 – 14 April 1682) (also spelled Awakum) was an Old Believer and Russian protopope of the Kazan Cathedral on Red Square who led the opposition to Patriarch Nikon's reforms of the Russian Orthodox Church. Chad Alec Ripperger (born October 11, 1964) is an American Catholic priest, theologian, philosopher, and exorcist. Vincent Lampert (born 1963) is an American Catholic priest and the designated exorcist of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Peter Mary Rookey
Fr. Peter Mary Rookey, O.S.M. (October 12, 1916 - September 10, 2014) was a Servite Friar in the Catholic Church. Rookey was widely believed to have had the charism of healing, and spent a good part of his priesthood in that ministry. Life Born in Superior, Wisconsin, on October 12, 1916. Rookey grew up in a family of thirteen. At the age of eight he was blinded by a Fourth of July firework. Father Peter Heier (September 16, 1895 – March 24, 1982), S.V.D. was a Roman Catholic priest of Hague, North Dakota. Peter Heier was the son of George and Magdalena (Wolf) Heier. He was born in Kleinliebental (today Malodolynske/Малодолинське), Ukraine. His family immigrated to the United States and settled in North Dakota. Heier studied for the priesthood and was stationed in Hague, North Dakota, where he also served as an exorcist. Theophilus Riesinger
Theophilus Riesinger, O.F.M. Cap., also known as Francis Xavier Riesinger (February 27, 1868 - November 9, 1941) was a German-American Capuchin friar and Catholic priest, who became widely known as an exorcist in the United States. Life Riesinger was born in Germany. He later moved to the United States where he entered the Capuchin Order. He was ordained on 29 June 1899. In the summer of 1928, due to his previous experience in dealing with possessions, he was requested by the Bishop of Des Moines to conduct the rite of exorcism on a Anna Ecklund a 46-year-old woman who was suspected of being possessed.
