Track And Field
Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. The name is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. Track and field is categorized under the umbrella sport of athletics, which also includes road running, cross country running and racewalking. The foot racing events, which include sprints, middle- and long-distance events, racewalking, and hurdling, are won by the athlete who completes it in the least time. The jumping and throwing events are won by those who achieve the greatest distance or height. Todd Matthews-Jouda
Todd Matthews-Jouda (born June 20, 1979) is a hurdling athlete, who is notable for having switched nationality from United States to Sudan in September 2003. His personal best is 13.36 seconds, but being set in 2002 (i.e. before he switched to Sudan), it is not a national record. Instead, his Sudanese record is 13.45, a result which he achieved in October 2004. His first major international tournament for Sudan was the 2003 Afro-Asian Games, where he won a gold medal. Yamilé Aldama Pozo ( ar, جميلة الداما; born 14 August 1972) is a Cuban-born triple jumper. She represented Cuba until 2003, Sudan from 2004 to 2010, then Great Britain from 2011 onwards. A four-time Olympian (2000–12), she won a silver medal at the 1999 World Championships and a gold medal at the 2012 World Indoor Championships.
