California School Employees Association
The California School Employees Association, AFL–CIO (CSEA) is the largeslabor union in the United States. CSEA represents a quarter million classified public school employees in California. CSEA was formed in 1927 by a determined group of Oakland custodians who saw the need to gain protections for themselves and otheclassified employees Through this initial determination, CSEA proved to be an organization that has stood the test of time. CSEA is an affiliated member of the AFL–CIO. Overview Statewide Organization CSEA consists of ten geographic Areas with each Area represented by an Area Director elected by members in that Area. Education Minnesota
Education Minnesota is an American trade union representing pre-K to 12 education teachers, school support staff and higher education faculty in Minnesota. It is affiliated with both the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and is affiliated with the AFL-CIO. The union's headquarters are located in St. Paul, Minnesota, and it represented more than 90,000 members in 2017. An annual Representative Convention of approximately 900 elected delegates meets each year, and is the organization's highest governing body. Between Representative Conventions, a 44-member governing board meets monthly. The governing board sets dues, establishes a budget and carries out the policy directives of the Representative Convention. Education International (EI) is a global union federation (GUF) of teachers' trade unions consisting of 401 member organizations in 172 countries and territories that represents over 30 million education personnel from pre-school through university. It is one of the world's largest sectoral global union federations. History Prior to the 1950s, teacher and other education unions played little role in international trade union federations. In 1912, the International Committee of National Federations of Teachers in Public Secondary Schools was established in Belgium. Internationally, it was known as FIPESO, an acronym derived from its French name: The Federation Internationale des Professeurs de l'Enseignement Secondaire Officiel. Delaware State Education Association
Delaware ( ) is a state in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, bordering Maryland to its south and west; Pennsylvania to its north; and New Jersey and the Atlantic Ocean to its east.
