Ayleo Bowles and Mateo Bowles, better known as Ayo & Teo, are a duo of dancers and musicians from Ann Arbor, Michigan. They have appeared in music videos for Usher's "No Limit" and Chris Brown's "Party". Their hit single "Rolex" peaked at number 20 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Early life Ayleo Bowles (Ayo) and Mateo Bowles (Teo) were born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They both attended Ypsilanti Community High School. The duo taught themselves how to dance from watching other artists like Usher, Kida, Skitzo, and Matt Chad and movies like ''Breakin''' and '' Step Up''. Anise Boyer
Anise Margaret Boyer (1914–2008) was an American dancer and actress known for her work during the Harlem Renaissance. She joined the Cotton Club chorus line when she was a teenager and starred in the 1932 film '' Harlem is Heaven.'' She also danced in the duo Anise and Aland, travelling extensively with Cab Calloway's band. She retired from the entertainment industry in 1948. Early life and stardom Boyer was born on April 15, 1914 in Florida. She was already dancing in revues by age seven or eight. Her first recognition came in 1924, when she won a talent competition sponsored by Noble Sissle and Eubie Blake. She also excelled at Hunter College High School in New York City. Vernon And Irene Castle
Vernon and Irene Castle were a husband-and-wife team of ballroom dancers and dance teachers who appeared on Broadway and in silent films in the early 20th century. They are credited with reviving the popularity of modern dancing. Castle was a stage name: Vernon (2 May 1887 – 15 February 1918) was born William Vernon Blyth in England. Irene (7 April 1893 – 25 January 1969) was born Irene Foote in the United States. Cecchetti Method
The Cecchetti method is variously defined as a style of ballet and as a ballet training method devised by the Italian ballet master Enrico Cecchetti (1850–1928). The training method seeks to develop essential skills in dancers as well as strength and elasticity. Cecchetti-trained dancers are commonly found in ballet and other dance companies throughout the world. Enrico Cecchetti
Enrico Cecchetti (; 21 June 1850 – 13 November 1928) was an Italian ballet dancer, mime, and founder of the Cecchetti method. The son of two dancers from Civitanova Marche, he was born in the costuming room of the ''Teatro Tordinona'' in Rome. After an illustrious career as a dancer in Europe, he went to dance for the Imperial Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he further honed his skills. Cecchetti was praised for his agility and strength in his performances, as well as his technical abilities in dance. By 1888, he was widely accepted as the greatest ballet virtuoso in the world. After an esteemed career in Russia, originating such roles as both the Bluebird and Carabosse in Petipa's masterpiece, '' The Sleeping Beauty'', he turned to teaching. Leslie Claire Margaret Caron (; born 1 July 1931) is a French-American actress and dancer. Don Campbell (dancer)
Don "Campbellock" Campbell (January 8, 1951 – March 30, 2020) was an American dancer and choreographer who was best known for having invented the " locking" dance, and for his work with The Lockers. Born in Saint Louis, Missouri in January 1951, Campbell discovered dance while studying commercial art at Los Angeles Trade–Technical College. Early career In 1971, Campbell joined the cast of '' Soul Train'' once the program arrived in Los Angeles. He was a featured dancer until 1973, when he was removed from the program for requesting that performers be paid. He then recruited other dancers who had been removed for the same reason, and with them founded the Lockers. Raymond & Joyce Callis
Raymond William Callis (born 17 June 1934) and Joyce Callis (formerly Joyce Waudby born 19 April 1940) both competed during the 1960s as amateur ballroom dancing competitors winning both area and county championships. They became professional competitors during 1969 and retired from competition during 1972 to concentrate on their dancing school; Callis Waudby for Dancing. Jean Butler (born March 14, 1971) is an American stepdancer, a master of Irish Dance, choreographer, and actress. She is best known for originating the principal female role in the Irish dance theatrical production ''Riverdance''. Cab Calloway
Cabell Calloway III (December 25, 1907 – November 18, 1994) was an American singer, songwriter, bandleader, conductor and dancer. He was associated with the Cotton Club in Harlem, where he was a regular performer and became a popular vocalist of the swing era. His niche of mixing jazz and vaudeville won him acclaim during a career that spanned over 65 years. Calloway was a master of energetic scat singing and led one of the most popular dance bands in the United States from the early 1930s to the late 1940s.
