List Of Constituencies Of The Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly
The Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly is the unicameral legislature of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The seats of the legislative assembly are at Dehradun and Gairsain, the capitals of the state. The term of the Legislative Assembly is five years, unless dissolved earlier. It currently has 70 members, who are directly elected from single-seat constituencies. Currently there are 13 reserved seats for scheduled caste and 2 for Scheduled Tribes. 4th Uttarakhand Assembly
The 2017 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly election were the fourth Vidhan Sabha ( Legislative Assembly) election of the state. Elections were held on 15 February 2017 when Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the single largest party with 57 seats in the 70-seat legislature and formed the government. The Indian National Congress with 11 seats served as the official opposition. After discussions it was announced that Trivendra Singh Rawat would be Chief Minister. Tehri Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency is one of the five Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Uttarakhand. Tehri Garhwal District
Tehri Garhwal is a district in the hill state of Uttarakhand, India. Its administrative headquarters is at New Tehri. The district has a population of 618, 931 (2011 census), a 2.35% increase over the previous decade. It is the 7th ranked district of Uttarakhand by population. It is surrounded by Rudraprayag District in the east, Dehradun District in the west, Uttarkashi District in the north, and Pauri Garhwal District in the south. Chamoli District
Chamoli district is a district of the Uttarakhand state of India. It is bounded by the Tibet region to the north, and by the Uttarakhand districts of Pithoragarh and Bageshwar to the east, Almora to the south, Pauri Garhwal to the southwest, Rudraprayag to the west, and Uttarkashi to the northwest.
