Newfoundland and Labrador (; french: Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador; frequently abbreviated as NL) is the easternmost provinces and territories of Canada, province of Canada, in the country's Atlantic Canada, Atlantic region. Badger's Quay, Newfoundland And Labrador
Badger's Quay is a Canadian town in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Located on Bonavista Bay, it had a population of 611 in 1956. Its name was referred to as Badger's Bay in early census data. The name "badger" probably named after the community of Badger in Shropshire, England. Badger's Quay is not to be confused with the town of Badger, an inland lumbering community which was named after a river that was thought to flow into Badgers Bay. Bayview, Newfoundland And Labrador
Bayview is a collaboration of small fishing communities along the southern island of Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador. The communities within Bayview were formerly called Bluff Head Cove, Gillard's Cove, Manuel's Cove and Ragged Point. Older residents of the community still refer to these places separately but street signs only read Bayview and Ragged Point. Basically Bayview consists of one main road, formerly named Rink Road and recently changed to Bayview Street along with many side streets such as Point Road, Gillard's Lane and Greenham's Point. There is one Salvation Army church in the community and a closed grocery store. Bayview is now a part of the Town of Twillingate. Ferryland is a town in Newfoundland and Labrador on the Avalon Peninsula. According to the 2021 Statistics Canada census, its population is 371. Seventeenth century settlement Ferryland was originally established as a station for migratory fishermen in the late 16th century but had earlier been used by the French, Spanish, and Portuguese. By the 1590s it was one of the most popular fishing harbours in Newfoundland and acclaimed by Sir Walter Raleigh. Ferryland was called "Farilham" by the Portuguese fishermen and "Forillon" by the French—it later became anglicized to its current name "Ferryland." (This should not be confused with the Forillon National Park in Quebec, which still keeps its French name.) Bartlett's Harbour is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador that is northeast of Pointe Riche on the island of Newfoundland. Division No. 1, Subdivision L is an unorganized subdivision on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is in Division 1 and contains the unincorporated communities of Bareneed, Black Duck Pond, Blow Me Down, Coley's Point South, Hibb's Cove, Pick Eyes, Port de Grave, Ship Cove and The Dock Bareneed Bareneed is a settlement in Division 1, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Barachois Brook is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is on the western coast of the province, on Bay St. George, located just 5 km south of Stephenville Crossing. "Black Bank", a popular beach, is located in Barachois Brook. The post office was established there in 1963. The first Postmaster was Churchill J. Messervey. It had an estimated population of 120 in 2021. Barachois Brook once had a RCMP detachment which is no longer in use. The building, located just outside of St. George's on the outer edge of the community, is now used by the provincial government as a Forestry Resource office. Bannatyne Cove, Newfoundland And Labrador
Bannatyne Cove is a Canadian fishing settlement in the Humber-Bay of Islands electoral district in Newfoundland and Labrador. It is slightly southeast of Sopers, Allens Brook, Mount Moriah, and Giles Point, and slightly northwest of Pleasant Cove, Petries, and Georgetown. It's a part of the city of Corner Brook. A 1901 census shows 13 men, 4 women, and 14 homes. In 1918, Bannatyne was listed within the St. George electoral district and its nearest post town was Curling. In 2014, Bannatyne Cove, along with a number of other locations around the Bay of Islands, showed signs of a green crab infestation. An inedible, invasive species, it caused concern among biologists, as it is highly aggressive.
