Buwaidhaa
Al-Buwaidhaa town is a small town in the middle part of the Sudan. It is located east of the Blue Nile in The Gazera area about 135 km South of Khartoum Khartoum or Khartum ( ; ar, الخرطوم, Al-Khurṭūm, din, Kaartuɔ̈m) is the capital of Sudan. With a population of 5,274,321, its metropolitan area is the largest in Sudan. It is located at the confluence of the White Nile, flowing n .... The old name was "Bit-Hadeed". Originally it was situated at the Eastern bank of the Blue Nile, but for Political reasons it moved around 2 km east of the bank. The reason for that was the slavery acts imposed by The "Jehadia" who are the soldiers of the "Khalifa Abdullahi" Regime who ruled the Sudan late in the 19th century. It is part of a community who are mainly farmers growing sugar cane that supply the oldest sugar factory in Sudan with the necessary row material for producing sugar. Kaduqli
Kaduqli or Kadugli ( ar, كادوقلي ' Sudanese pronunciation: ) is the capital city of South Kordofan State, Sudan. It is located south of El-Obeid, at the northern edge of the White Nile plain in the Nuba Mountains. It contains Hilal Stadium. Economy It is a trading centre for gum arabic and livestock. Industries include textiles, soap factories, and the production of leather. Kaduqli is also the Headquarters of Sector IV of the UNMIS (United Nations Mission in Sudan). Hala'ib
Halaib (also, Halayeb; ar, حلايب, Ḥalāyib ), is a Red Sea port and town, located in the Halaib Triangle, a area disputed between Egypt and Sudan. The town lies on the southern tip of what Egyptians refer to as the Red Sea Riviera and the north eastern corner of Sudan's Red Sea State and is near the ruins of medieval ʽAydhab. ''De facto'' control of the area is held by the Egyptian government. Name The name ''Halaib'' represents Arabic ar, حلايب, Ḥalāyib. Geneina
Geneina (sometimes Al-Junaynah) ( ar, الجنينة, lit. ''the little garden'') is a city in West Darfur, part of dar Masalit region, that joined British Sudan at the end of 1919 through the Gilani agreement signed between the Masalit Sultanate and the Kingdom of Britain, according to which it became a territory. It is now the capital of the Sudanese state of West Darfur. As of 2008, it had a population of 252,744. Er Rahad
Ar-Rahad ( ar, ٱلـرَّهَـد, "The Water-shrine") is a city located in the state of North Kordofan, Sudan, at an altitude of above sea level. It is about away from the capital, Khartoum. It is a major railway station linking East and Central Sudan and the West, which is also a market for crops, especially hibiscus as well as livestock and also urban centers for nomadic shepherds in the region. It is the second largest local resource in North Kordofan after the Shikan locality. El-Obeid
El-Obeid ( ar, الأبيض, ''al-ʾAbyaḍ'', lit."the White"), also romanized as Al-Ubayyid, is the capital of the state of North Kurdufan, in Sudan. History and overview El-Obeid was founded by the pashas of Ottoman Egypt in 1821. It was attacked by the Mahdists in September 1882, and, after capitulation, was subsequently destroyed in 1883. It was then rebuilt on a modern plan in 1898, following the fall of the Mahdist empire. In 2008, its population was 340,940. It is an important transportation hub: the terminus of a rail line, the junction of various national roads and camel caravan routes, and the end of a pilgrim route from Nigeria. As regional commercial centre, it is known for products such as gum arabic, millet, oilseeds, and livestock. The population of El-Obeid today is majority Muslim, with a small Christian presence. En Nahud is a town in the desert of central Sudan. Formerly located within the Sudanese political division of West Kurdufan, it is now part of the country's North Kurdufan state. Ed Dueim
Ed Dueim (Arabic الدويم, also Romanized as ''ad-Duwaym'', ''Ad Douiem'', ''Al Dewaym'', ''Dewaim'' etc.) is one of the largest cities along the White Nile in Sudan. Ed Dueim is on the west bank of the White Nile, between Khartoum and Kosti. It is home to the University of Bakht, which lies to the north of the town. The university has played an important role in promoting education throughout Sudan. It is known for its two-year course called Al Sanatain, which prepared teachers to teach school, attracting students from all regions of Sudan and neighbouring countries.
