Taichung City Government
The Taichung City Government () is the municipal government of Taichung, Taiwan. History Taichū City Government was established by the Governor-General of Taiwan and the Japanese colonial authorities on 1 October 1920. Following the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China, Taichung had been reconstituted as a provincial city government on 25 October 1945. Taichung City merged with Taichung County to become a special municipality on 25 December 2010. The National Museum of Natural Science () is a national museum in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. Overview The museum covers and is a six-venue complex housing: the Space Theater, Science Center, Life Science Hall, Human Cultures Hall, Global Environment Hall, and Botanical Garden. Taichung City Bus
Taichung City Bus ( or so called ) is managed by the Transportation Bureau, Taichung City Government in Taichung City, Taiwan. This includes bus routes 1–989 which are operated by different bus companies. There're currently 275 bus routes, covering every districts. The main part of the network provides bus service in downtown area, some other routes connect different districts, and the others serve residents in rural or remote area. Fares The fares are calculated by mileage per ride. The basic fare is NT$20 for 10 km, and the extended fare is NT$2.431*(1+5% tax included) per km and round to the nearest integer. From 1 June 2011 to 30 June 2015, taking buses whose route numbers are under 300 with any of four sorts of electronic tickets (including EasyCard (悠遊卡)and I Pass (一卡通), could benefit from a free ride below 8 kilometers. Transportation In Taichung
Taichung is located in central Taiwan and is the second largest city in the island country. Train service Taichung Station is located on Jianguo Road (建國路). There is a small square in the front of the station, and numerous bus companies have stations within a three-minute walk of the station. They provide local bus service along with long-distance bus services, many of which are to districts or townships not served by trains. The same pass card can be used for both trains and buses and there are discounts for students and senior citizens. The Port of Taichung (), also Taichung Port, is a port located in Wuqi District, Taichung, Taiwan. Gaomei Wetlands
Gaomei Wetlands (), officially Gaomei Wetland Preservation Area (), is a wetland in Qingshui District, Taichung, Taiwan. History Gaomei Wetlands was established on 29 September 2005. Lihpao Resort () is a theme park located in Houli District, Taichung, Taiwan. It currently has two roller coasters, including Gravity Max, the world's first coaster to feature a true 90-degree drop and the world's first tilt coaster. Daqing station () is a railway and metro station located in South District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is served by the Taiwan Railways Administration and Taichung Metro. The metro station opened on December 19, 2020. Overview The station began as a TRA at-grade local station. Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area ( zh, t=參山國家風景區, p=Sānshān Guójiā Fēngjǐngqū) is a national scenic area located within central Taiwan, spanning Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, and Nantou County. The area is composed of three non-contiguous scenic areas (Baguashan, Shitoushan, and Lishan), which are all named after mountains, hence the name.
