Bullfighter
A bullfighter (or matador) is a performer in the activity of bullfighting. ''Torero'' () or ''toureiro'' (), both from Latin ''taurarius'', are the Spanish and Portuguese words for bullfighter and describe all the performers in the activity of bullfighting as practised in Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Peru, France, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and other countries influenced by Portuguese and Spanish culture. The main performer and leader of the entourage in a bullfight, and who finally kills the bull, is addressed as ''maestro'' (master), or with the formal title ''matador de toros'' (killer of bulls). The other bullfighters in the entourage are called ''subalternos'' and their suits are embroidered in silver as opposed to the matador's gold. They include the ''picadores'', ''rejoneadores'', and ''banderilleros''. Manuel Capetillo
Manuel Antonio Capetillo Villaseñor (15 April 1926 – 5 May 2009) was a Mexican film actor, bullfighter, singer, and songwriter from Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos, Jalisco. On 5 May 2009, Capetillo died of respiratory insufficiency, in Chacala, Nayarit. The wake was held in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and his body also laid to rest in the capital. Although the media said that the cause of his death was intoxication and a problem with ulcers, the actor's son confirmed that a respiratory insufficiency was the cause of his death. Silverio Pérez (20 June 1915 — 2 September 2006) was a Mexican matador whose nickname was "The Pharaoh." Ricardo Moreno Escamilla (February 7, 1937 - June 25, 2008) was a Mexican professional boxer in the Super Featherweight division. Moreno was ranked #76 on The Ring's list of 100 All time Greatest Punchers. Early life Moreno was born and raised in the mining town of Chalchihuites, Zacatecas, Mexico. He left school to work as a metal breaker at the mines. Later he went to Mexico City where he worked as a parking lot attendant before turning to boxing.
