Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an Indian actress who primarily works in the South Indian film industry, where she has established herself as a leading actress. She is recipient several awards, including four Filmfare Awards, two Nandi Awards, a Vijay Award, six South Indian International Movie Awards, and three CineMAA Awards. She received most of the awards for her performance in the tamil film ''Neethaane En Ponvasantham'' and telugu film '' Eega''. ''Neethaane En Ponvasantham'' () is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film co written, co produced and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, starring Jiiva and Samantha. South Indian International Movie Awards, also known as the SIIMA Awards, rewards the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film industry.
