''Dick Tracy'' is a 1990 American action crime comedy film based on the 1930s comic strip character of the same name created by Chester Gould. The screenplay was adapted by Waldo Salt and Norman Wexler from the book of the same name written by Peter Maas with the assistance of its subject, Frank Serpico.
