An ambassador is an official envoy, especially a high-ranking diplomat who represents a state and is usually accredited to another sovereign state or to an international organization as the resident representative of their own government or sovereign or appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment. Luboš Dobrovský
Luboš Dobrovský (born Luboš Hamerschlag, 3 February 1932 – 30 January 2020) was a Czech journalist and politician, who served as Czechoslovak Minister of Defence. Dobrovsky's father Ludvík Hamerschlag was Jewish. Deported to Auschwitz concentration camp in September 1943, he did not survive the war. Dobrovský and his mother spent the war on a farm in Ohrada; his mother remarried the officer Josef Dobrovský after the war. Dobrovský was member of Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and journalist of the Czechoslovak Radio between 1959 and 1968. He signed Charta 77 in the 1970s and served as a spokesman of the Civic Forum in 1989. Between October 1990 and June 1992 he was the Czechoslovak minister of defence. Later, he served as director of the ''Office of the Czech President'' Václav Havel. Between 1996 and 2000 he was the Czech Republic Ambassador to Russia, Czech Ambassador in Moscow.

Jaroslav Bašta
Jaroslav Bašta (born 15 May 1948) is a Czech politician and diplomat. He is a signatory of Charter 77. Between 1998 and 2000 he served in the cabinet of Miloš Zeman as Minister without portfolio. Bašta became the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Russia in September 2000. He served for five years in Russia, later becoming Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, where he worked for three years until stepping down due to health reasons in 2010. In 2021, he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD). On 10 September 2022, SPD announced it would nominate Bašta for the 2023 Czech presidential election. He was also endorsed by the Tricolour Citizens' Movement and the Workers' Party of Social Justice (DSSS). He finished fifth of eight candidates in the first round on 14 January 2023, with 4.45% of the vote. Miroslav Kostelka (born 31 January 1951) is a Czech diplomat and politician. Petr Kolář (born 27 September 1962) is a Czech politician. He served as ambassador to Russia from 2010 through 2012. He is currently a senior advisor to the law firm of Squire Patton Boggs in Prague. Early life Kolář graduated from Charles University in Prague in 1986 with majors in information technology, library science and ethnography. Vladimír Remek
Vladimír Remek (born 26 September 1948) is a Czech, formerly Czechoslovak, politician and diplomat, as well as a former cosmonaut and military pilot. He flew aboard Soyuz 28 from 2 to 10 March 1978, becoming the first and only Czechoslovak in space. As the first cosmonaut from a country other than the Soviet Union or the United States, and with the entry of the Czech Republic and Slovakia into the European Union, Remek is considered to be the first astronaut from the European Union. Czech Republic–Russia relations are the bilateral foreign relations between the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation.
