The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Chile in Peru is the ambassador, official representative of the Government in Santiago de Chile to the Government of Peru. The ambassador operates the Chilean embassy located in the district of San Isidro District, Lima, San Isidro, located in Lima. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile ( es, Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores) is the cabinet-level administrative office in charge of planning, directing, coordinating, executing, controlling and informing the foreign policy formulated by the President of Chile. Lambayeque, Peru
Lambayeque is a city on the coast of northern Peru and capital of the homonymous district and province in the department of Lambayeque. It is located 4.7 km from the city of Chiclayo and 13 km from the Pacific Ocean. It is an important cultural and educational center of the department as it houses some of the most important museums in the country, such as the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, Royal Tombs Museum and the Brüning Museum. Manuel Camilo Agustín Vial Formas (March 20, 1804 – February 20, 1882) was a Chilean political figure and conservative politician. He served several times as minister. The War of the Confederation ( es, Guerra de la Confederación) was a military confrontation waged by Chile, along with Peruvian dissidents, and the Argentine Confederation against the Peru–Bolivian Confederation between 1836 and 1839. As a result of the Salaverry-Santa Cruz War, the Peru-Bolivia Confederation was created by General Andrés de Santa Cruz, which caused a power struggle in southern South America, with Chile and the Argentine Confederation, as both distrusted this new and powerful political entity, seeing their geopolitical interests threatened. Antonio José de Irisarri Alonso (; February 7, 1786 – June 10, 1868), was a Guatemalan statesman, journalist, and politician who served as Interim Supreme Director of Chile in 1814. He is considered one of the fathers of Chilean journalism together with Fr. Camilo Henríquez. Irisarri was born in Guatemala City, the son of Juan Bautista de Irisarri and of María de la Paz Alonso.
