List Of X-Men Limited Series
The X-Men are a group of superheroes in the Marvel Comics universe. The X-Men first appeared in the self-titled ''X-Men'' comic, cover-dated September 1963. Due to the X-Men's immense popularity, Marvel has launched dozens of spin-off limited series. Like ''Uncanny X-Men'', most X-books feature mutants, humans born with extraordinary powers due to a genetic mutation. Some X-books feature mutant superhero teams while others feature solo adventures of characters who became popular in ''Uncanny X-Men'' or another X-book. Occasionally, X-books use mutants as a metaphor for racial, religious and other minorities oppressed by society. X-Men
The X-Men are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, first appearing in Uncanny X-Men, ''The X-Men'' #1 by artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby and writer/editor Stan Lee in 1963. Although initially cancelled in 1970 due to low sales, following its Giant-Size X-Men, 1975 revival and subsequent direction under writer Chris Claremont, it became one of the most recognizable and successful franchises of Marvel Comics. They have appeared in numerous books, X-Men in television, television shows, the 20th Century Fox X-Men (film series), ''X-Men'' films, and List of video games featuring the X-Men, video games. Giant-Size X-Men
''Giant-Size X-Men'' #1 was a special issue of the ''X-Men'' comic book series, published by Marvel Comics in 1975. It was written by Len Wein and illustrated by Dave Cockrum. Though not a regular issue, it contained the first new X-Men story in five years, titled ''Second Genesis''. The issue serves as a link between the original X-Men and a new team. Chronologically it is placed after ''X-Men'' #66 and before ''X-Men'' #94. The 68-page book was published with a May 1975 cover date and distributed to newsstands in February of that year. Publication history The ''X-Men'' title stopped producing new stories after #66 in March 1970. From December 1970 through April 1975, Marvel reprinted many of the older X-Men issues as #67–93. Following the May publication of ''Giant-Size X-Men'' #1, Marvel began again publishing new issues of ''X-Men'' with #94 in August 1975. Sabretooth (comics)
Sabretooth (Victor Creed) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men, in particular as an enemy of the mutant Wolverine. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist/co-writer John Byrne, the character made his first appearance in '' Iron Fist Issue'' #14 (August 1977). The original portrayal of Sabretooth was that of a non-powered serial killer but was later written as a mutant possessing bestial superhuman abilities, most notably a rapid healing factor, razor-sharp fangs and claws, and superhuman senses. He is a vicious assassin, who was responsible for numerous deaths throughout history both as a paid mercenary and for his personal pleasure.
