World Touring Car Championship
The FIA World Touring Car Championship was an international touring car championship promoted by Eurosport Events and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It has had several different incarnations, including a single season in 1987 as the World Touring Car Championship and most recently a world championship (WTCC) that has run between 2005 and 2017. Following the 2017 season, an agreement was reached for the FIA WTCC to become FIA WTCR and use the TCR technical regulations. History First season The first World Touring Car Championship, which was open to Group A Touring Cars, was held in 1987 concurrent to the long-running European Touring Car Championship (ETCC). Additional rounds were held outside Europe at Bathurst and Calder Park Raceway in Australia (Calder used a combined circuit of the road course and the then newly constructed NASCAR speedway), Wellington in New Zealand and Mount Fuji in Japan. Kin Veng Ng
Kin Veng Ng (born 12 September 1968) is a Macanese racing driver currently competing in the Macau Touring Car Championship. He is a former World Touring Car Championship driver, who made his debut in 2012. Racing career Ng began his career in 2002 in the Asian Touring Car Championship, he raced in the championship for several seasons. In 2012 Ng made his World Touring Car Championship debut with China Dragon Racing driving a Chevrolet Cruze LT in the last two rounds in China and Macau. In October 2013 it was announced that he would race in the last three rounds in Japan, China and Macau. Lo Ka Chun () born 11 November in Hong Kong, China is best known as a race driver. Racing extensively throughout Asia he has won the Asian Touring Car Championship and Chinese Touring Car Championship during his career. "Alex" Liu Lic Ka (, born March 18, 1971, in Hong Kong) is an auto racing driver from Macau. Racing career He has competed mainly in touring car racing in Asia, regularly competing in the support races at the Macau Grand Prix. He made his World Touring Car Championship debut at the 2009 FIA WTCC Race of Macau, driving for Liqui Moly Team Engstler alongside compatriots Henry Ho and Joe Rosa Merszei. He returned to the WTCC again in 2012, driving a BMW 320si for Liqui Moly Team Engstler at the Race of China. Lei Kit Meng (, born December 30, 1967, in Macau) is an auto racing driver from Macau. Career Lei Kit Meng competed in two races of the 1998 British Formula Three Championship for Carlin Motorsport.http://www.driverdb.com/drivers/1694/career/ Career statistics at Driver Database Between 2000 and 2007 he competed each year in the Formula Three races at the Macau Grand Prix, with a best finish of tenth place in 2001, when he raced for Fortec Motorsport. Ao Chi Hong
Ao Chi Hong (, born 30 October 1960) is a Macanese auto racing driver. He has regularly competed in the Asian Touring Car Championship, finishing third overall in 2002, 2003 and 2004. He has competed in two rounds of the 2006 FIA World Touring Car Championship. For the final two rounds in his home nation of Macau he drove a BMW 320i for his Ao's Racing Team. He managed a nineteenth place in race one, and failed to finish in the second race. He had previously failed to make the grid in the 2005 WTCC, after crashing in qualifying. In motorsport, the fastest lap is the quickest lap run during a race. Some racing series, like Formula One, Formula 2 and Formula E award championship points for a driver or team that set the fastest lap.
